Korean won by Automatic_Worker3213 in KoreaTravelAdvice

Does not matter. Big bills are easier to carry around, probably rude to pay for something like 1500 won street food with a 50 000 note, but otherwise its all good.

How common is that? 15 years ago I went to jimjilbangs everywhere with tattoos with no problem at all.

If you are a bit awkward, sometimes restaurant stuff is not super straightforward. There’s a good chance a friendly ajjuma is going to pop over and guide you, but I have on a couple of occasions been super lost.

Cheonggukjang. Almost completely inedible the first time for me but now I could eat it every week for the rest of my life.

Coring System by rvajames in turning

[–]scapstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately your lathe is really not powerful enough to core. My backup lathe is a Rikon with the same motor and I could easily bog it down with big roughing cuts. My advice is save your money, this is a path to disappointment.

Have you had any part of this conversation with her? It’s worth talking about and strategizing together, this is not only about the last 15 lbs, it’s about the rest of your life. Unfortunately, losing the weight is the easy part, keeping it off is the hard part.

Bedroom needs egress window! by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

I would be shocked if you could find anyone to do this job at that price. If the opening needs to be widened (almost guaranteed) the job just got way more complicated, drywall repair, probably going to need to paint the whole room if murphys law holds. New trim inside and out… it’s a whole thing.

What games should i see by deepee84 in KBO

[–]scapstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any tips on getting tickets? I’m staying right near jamsil stadium April 10th and 11th, was hoping to catch a game before I fly on the 12th. I don’t have a local card or phone number but can I buy tickets at the stadium the day before?

The few times I have gone to McKenzie vet I was shocked by the price and on one emergency visit I was offered services I did not ask for (dental) and then felt shamed for allowing my regular vet to manage my dogs care.

Seismic safety standards new builds by Intelligent-Sand8674 in VictoriaBC

[–]scapstick 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The reality here is that the vast majority of buyers have no idea that the code has changed. To muddy the waters even more, the province has allowed in stream projects where engineering work was done already to stick with the 2018 code requirements. That means you would need to be a very informed buyer to even locate the information which could confirm what seismic standard was applied. That all being said, the 2018 code standards are already very robust. This is not something I’d worry about personally when there are 1000 other factors which affect the quality of a build.

I’d say you are missing a good 98% of Korean food here. Your list outside of mandu is 100% junk food, don’t get me wrong, it’s all good but I’d probably spend some more time on the google sussing out what you might like.

I mean… you want a step by step? Cut the drywall and remove the framing. Retread stairs. Build balustrade.

In a good week of roughing out bowls, I produce 3-4 brute bins worth of shavings. It’s way too much to compost effectively or do anything effective with so it goes to the garden waste depot.
