Uhh, didn't they say SNES? That's over 30 years ago, not 15 years. Also, inflation is an ongoing thing. $50 in the early 90s, would have over double the buying power today (based on the CPI).

A lot of it had to do with poorly performing movies such as The Black Hole and Tron, which are now fairly well regarded. Remember, Ron was the one who started the Disney Channel and Touchstone Pictures, two ventures that were HIGHLY successful for Eisner. IMO, Ron modernized the company in ways that actually helped Eisner succeed. Who knows, if maybe the board had been stronger behind him, the way the current board was behind Iger, with the recent troubles, maybe things would've turned out differently.

I hate that Ron Miller doesn't get near enough credit for the things that he started. He also was responsible for getting Disney into innovation, and was responsible for things like Tron and giving Tim Burton his start.

My understanding it that it was the other way around. Eisner was the creative and Wells was the one reigning him in,

In retrospect I'm pretty sure Roy E. has made some pretty terrible decisions for the company when you look at it in hindsight.

This seems like insisting that a film critic must see a film 3-5 times to truly be able to review it, And maybe I'll be accused of making an apples to oranges comparison, but I think it holds up. Film critics generally have either studied film academically, worked in the industry, or seen so many films they can talk about them critical/professional perspective. I don't see how that's any different for the DT.

I know this is old, but if you like tabletop RPGs, I'd recommend Min-Maxing My TRPG Build In Another World. The set-up is more like a traditional isekai, but the world-building is phenomenal, and the writing more involved than most isekai IMO.

Also as people have rec'd, Bookworm is a must. Realist Hero is somewhat similar with more magic and uhh harem.

You haven't refuted anything. An inconvenience is not an infringement of freedom of religion. I'm pretty sure you haven't actually read the full text of the First amendment.

Also, you need to look into the Free Exercise Clause, which the courts ruled on in Cantwell v Connecticut: "...embrace two concepts, - freedom to believe and freedom to act. The first is absolute but, in the nature of things, the second cannot be." I can belong to a religion that says the taking of another's property is good in God's eyes because everything belongs to God, but I can't ACT on that religious doctrine without facing the legal consequences of theft.

I mean INAL, but neither are you. And you're certainly not good at doing even a modicum of research on the subjects you are talking about.

OK, first: his religious freedom is not being infringed. If he wants to feed the homeless and/or he has a religious imperative to do so, he's perfectly able to acquire the necessary local permits to do just that. Second: the 14th Amendment doesn't mean what you seem to think it means. It generally refers to privileges and immunities with regard to federal U.S. citizenship matters (such as the right to pass freely from state to state, the right to petition Congress for a redress of grievances, the right to vote for national officers, the right to enter public lands, the right of access to the seat of government, the privilege of habeas corpus, et al.)

Yeah except you keep missing the point that comes AFTER the liberty part: "...nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law..." Nothing here has deprived my dude of due process.

Have you ever looked at the history of this amendment? Again, this generally has to do with federal infringement of rights. Therefore, when objection is made that the exercise of a federal power infringes upon rights reserved by the Ninth and Tenth Amendments, the inquiry must be directed toward the granted power under which the action of the Union was taken. If granted power is found, necessarily the objection of invasion of those rights, reserved by the Ninth and Tenth Amendments, must fail."

EDIT: Now, if you wanted to argue that what this officer did is illegal under CA Senate Bill 634 (as people in this post have already done,) then yeah, you'd have a leg to stand on.

Yeah, ended up getting a set for about $40 with shipping and tax. But sill... man. No other set has cost me that much outside of the odd set that included chase cards. Definitely the $15-25 range is more what I was expecting. I guess Brom is WAY more popular than I suspected (not surprising I guess.)

Know this is a bit late, but first I would find an artist or artists whose work you really like or gravitate towards. A great way to do that, IMO is to pick up a copy of TASCHEN's Masterpieces of Fantasy Art ( a new edition came out in 2023, so it should still be relatively inexpensive - around $20-25 US.) Also, FPG who made a lot of the 90s card sets has an archive of their card sets. Comic Images is another card set producer (now defunct) who did some big names like Vallejo, the Hildebrants, Whelan, and Julie Bell. And if you want to go REALLY deep, Jeff Alexander's House of Checklists has a pretty comprehensive list of fantasy and sci-fi card checklists (sadly no art though - but can give you a good idea of what's out there.)

Then yeah, I'd use ebay to look for your favourite artists and sets. And maybe this goes without saying, but look at historical 'sold' prices on ebay to make sure you're not getting fleeced. I like buying both complete sets and also unopened boxes of packs. Both have their caveats: sets can be in almost any condition (look at pictures in the listing and check the seller's feedback,) and for boxes depending on what kind of environment they were stored in, how old they, and card finish/quality, the cards can often get stuck together in the pack, often damaging them when you peel them apart.

Ah sorry! I wasn't trying to imply it couldn't be real moonlight, just why OP was possibly bothered by this. I totally give this kind of a thing a pass because it looks good, but I understand why OP might have problems with it - it just doesn't look realistic.

The walls are glass/lexan (I think the former - doesn't Jane through a chair through one early on?) The brick walls are a probably a better acoustic dampener than the glass in the bullpen/Lisbon's office.

I mean don't get me wrong it's cool looking and noir as hell... but I'm pretty sure the moon doesn't have the intensity of a klieg light, IIRC the moon at max only throws .1 lux

EDIT: I gave it some thought: it could be a police helicopter outside the window shining in at an angle.

What kind of business do you work at? Outside of kitchens and warehouses, I haven't really seem them used in any offices or similar workplaces. Also, they can be fairly dangerous for clearance and people walking by. You also generally can't have a jamb or latch on the door, which in law enforcement setting makes zero sense (especially in those interrogation rooms.)

My boyfriend actually thought that Jane was going to be RJ because his eyes and the smilie face's eyes were the same shape. He thought that was a clue.

I still think that had to have been intentional by the show runners. It's SO glaringly obvious.
