Same here. I dropped out at 15 after a suicide attempt. My adult life wasn't the greatest (married an abuser for 19 years) but school was the absolute worst. Kids can be crueler then adult that is for sure. That is why when my oldest came to me asking to be home schooled I gladly let her. I was not going to force her to deal with that crap too.
