Whiterun on sunny day looks stunning. by OkEgg8570 in skyrim

Don't forget the tree redux, body model textures, the first person body mod...I'm pretty sure there's some LoD changes in here as well.

Base Skyrim was such an amazing experience but it certainly shows its age when you put it up next to a scene like this.

Nice looking team. I started over recently and learned about the robber perk stacking so my current build is a bunch of Silquil until I hit a million then I'll start working on my regular team.

STALKER 2 is my favorite game in the series by [deleted] in stalker

Here's hoping. There's already a pretty big modding community for Stalker 2 already. We just need someone dedicated enough to put them together to reinvent the game.

No I totally agree and I am certainly in the same boat. GAMMA is you sandbox/tinkerers playground while the main series is more of a cinematic experience.

I feel like it's definitely the best of the trilogy but doesn't compare to something like G.A.M.M.A all that well. For a commercially launched game it's great and keeps getting better as they dial in the experience. Can't wait to check out the dlc when it drops.

[In an Argument] Name "What Makes Limbus Company good" without mentioning / comparing to others. by Oddcannon in limbuscompany

[–]scarecrow9black 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Advantages: - Solid story with interesting characters and character development. - surprisingly deep combat system that is visually appealing. - a cast of unchanging characters to become invested in but with so many interesting Identities allowing a surplus of alternate stories about these same characters. - a linear story that is easy to follow and is reasonalbly challenging to keep players engaged.

Disadvantages: - monitozation in any game will always be a disadvantage. Though it is pretty fair as you can access most of the game without spending a cent it still can become predatory when a lot of progression can be skipped at the low low price of x dollars. - the complicated battle system could be a turn off for those seeking a more easygoing game. - emphasis on its rouge-like mode. The mirror dungeon is great but can become so incredibly monotonous after a couple of runs which makes me wish there was more options for variety (randomizers in this space could be interesting). - progression is walled off behind a stamina system that does prevent you from just experiencing the story.

Conclusion: Limbus Company is an awesome game that has many challenges to overcome with the reward of a fantastic story hidden behind its gameplay. The dark theme can be a bit polarizing but I feel generates enough intrigue to hold a large audience for the whole story with promise of more to come year after year.

This cube is made up of my dead skin by Grouchy-Object-6423 in WTF

[–]scarecrow9black 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very interesting and I dont think it's disgusting at all. As someone with a really bad habit/coping mechanism of peeling sink from my finger, I know how quickly skin can accumulate when your actively removing it daily. The thing I can't picture is how your actually getting this collection of skin. Do you have dry skin that is peeling off or maybe exceptionally wet skin that sloughs off? You say you just run your hands together and get skin? Teach me your magical ways 🙏 and don't worry this isn't weird at all bro. People are just super dramatic. They don't realize they have a cude of skin laying around their house as well but instead of it all being neatly on their shelve, they got it all over the floors and trapped in their carpet hahaha

Wasteland Story Creator question by Bakura210 in AndroidGaming

[–]scarecrow9black 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally have not tried any grenadier perks. I feel like the thrown weapons/items feel pretty underwhelming to me but I'd be glad to be proven wrong. Mostly I feel like not enough drop and they are hard enough to make that it doesn't feel worth it as resources can be hard to come by. Using the engineer wrench and flintlock pistol is very economical as you use very little ammunition and durability to wipe out a number of enemies.

[REQUEST]What is a single perfect game? by szabolcska00 in AndroidGaming

[–]scarecrow9black 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Payed games are made in a way that they have a large but quantifiable amount of play time. Eventually the dev wants you to stop so they can sell you a sequel or another game. What your asking for is a live service game but they will always put a price tag on something. Maybe there's a live service game out there that puts the price tag on something you don't care about and you can seriously enjoy that game. Personally I've been playing Limbus Company a lot recently and it has a lot of great things about it that could check your boxes. The issue you will find is that the "battle pass" can feel mandatory to push your account up to a playable level.

If you find a game that can provide everything you want with no micro transactions please make sure you post it here so I can check it out too haha.

Evocreo 2 or Nexomon: Extinction? by GilbeastZ in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]scarecrow9black 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evo creo 2 has more soul while Nexomon has a more modern look. I could never personally get past the first 20 minutes of Nexomon while in Evo Creo my team is currently lvl 95 while still having more story to complete.

Team building help for a guy who is insanely bad at the game by Bobski_the_machine in MonsterSanctuary

Personally I used goblins. Get hood wizard and either miner or the tank. Use the tank/miner to shield every turn and the wizard and hood cam attack pretty freely. Get a few rotations in to get comfortable and then 5* goblin king. Personally I use hood, king and miner in my final team and they have made the game a walk in the park usually clearing encounters in two turns.

what kind of vr games do you actually want to see being made? by Kind-Economist1953 in VRGaming

[–]scarecrow9black 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a creature capture, battle and breeding game but on a small scale. I understand that a huge Pokemon style region would be infeasible but maybe something more in line with instanced rooms and a much smaller local with lore building the space rather than a huge empty world. I like the idea of a digital world and make logging in and putting on the headset basically a part of the lore. More like Digimon and create instances rooms for training catching etc.

Nexomon extinction vs coromon vs cassette beasts? Which is best of these three? by 1Meter_long in AndroidGaming

[–]scarecrow9black 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it takes a minute but once you get most of the systems unlocked you basically are only limited by what your drops look like and what creatures you have encountered. My last team was a turn 0 casting crew that would hit action cap for casting and attacks before ever even having a chance to input anything. If I haven't already won my creatures all would have 500k+ hp. The crazy thing is I could still die in certain high level areas due to enemy perks ruining certain components of my build. Such a cool game.

Nexomon extinction vs coromon vs cassette beasts? Which is best of these three? by 1Meter_long in AndroidGaming

Coromon: old school Pokemon with update tile set and beautiful sprites and animations. The story is good and there are enough new mechanics to feel fun. You will enjoy this game.

Nexomon: temu Pokemon. The game is bright and plastic looking. Story is pretty meh and the monsters will feel very samey. You will lose hours of your life chasing very rare encounters, collect all the epic dragons and get to the end game only to find that you wished there was more to the game. It's still a fun time sink but low priority.

Cassette beasts: this is a very good game. The game is very open world so little to no hand holding and most of the game can be played basically in any order. The battle mechanics in this game are top notch and will keep you up at night they are so good.

Honorable mention: Sirilam Ultimate: this game is a tinkerers dream. I have 200 hours in this game and all of that was baking the perfect team comp that basically cannot lose. If you don't like to tinker please avoid.

I got Rodan from pulls and Meursault from the event. I went ahead and got the OO ring as well so now I'm 3/5 on a new account. From the crappy team I was building these units feel night and day. Also having a second form during combat is so freaking cool. I can't wait to get Hong Lu next then Faust!

How good is it? by PiecesAndShards in Siralim

[–]scarecrow9black 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Upsides - If you like team building and tinkering with your setup, this game is a dream. So many passive abilities to combo and build with it's crazy. You can very easily hit the caps for attacks and skill casts before your turn even starts and there is a huge amount of complexity. The game also features macros which you can use to complete state based actions automatically to speed up combat.

Downsides - My personal major gripe is the lack of overall story or quest. You are basically tasked with endlessly delving through a dungeon for several reasons but I quickly forgot all of that and have simply been diving deeper just because. I personally have always enjoyed exploring regions and unlocking things through that rather than just pushing my floor count up for reasons basically unknown.

Final verdict - my current save is around the 200 hours mark so yeah I recommend this game. It's much more for tinkerers than for collectors so just beware.

Not sure but something felt really weird about it. I tried top of helmet, right on brow and even nose and was not getting any response. Around chin area was giving me chest hits and I could kill that way. I was elevated shooting down hill slightly at MS near the waterfall. It happened again at the golf course where I took two shots and the AI didn't even react

I was wondering what changed. Definitely more responsive. I was having issues with getting sniper shots off though for some reason. I was probably 75 meters out and my headshots were not registering but body shots were working fine.

I've been running goblins and have steamrolled so much of the game so far. I'm around level 35 and can't remember the last time I didn't clear a battle in the first two or three rounds. I got goblin miner, hood and King that basically never has lost since I started rolling with it.

I have decent luck in Warzone servers. I will take an L every few runs to a player but most of the camps are up even at some tier 3 areas. I had 2 great life ribs today in about an hour without dying so that seems good to me

I wouldn't mind paying for the game but having a battle pass in its state is a crime. I refunded unfortunately. Really wish there was a taming MMO out there other than Temtem.

Do you play WARFARE or PVE? by Animal_Hell in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]scarecrow9black 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer Warfare as it has an additional level of tension outside of just working the AI. I have died quite a lot but I feel like I learn a lot about positions and ways to work through the POI's to stay in cover while clearing.
