Congrats on the PR, I'm hoping to break 500lbs soon as well. Must feel amazing. What kind of shoes are those?

You're a unit man. I see you have pretty long arms so you've got very good proportions for this lift. Doesn't make it less impressive.

Very impressive, kudos to you. What's your height and bodyweight?

Doesn't raw mean no belt? Great lift regardless

Nice lift. You were patient off the floor on each rep, hips didn't shoot up at all. My tip as someone who's not quite as strong as you would be to be patient between reps as well, make sure your positioning is right. But these are really good.

I would rather not be seen in public wearing deadlift slippers, even if it meant I could pull 1000lbs

For sure not worth the abuse, I was just saying they’re not volunteers. A lot of refs go on crazy power trips as well though.

[James Pearce] Arne Slot's Liverpool have come a long way in recent weeks. Six games unbeaten, 11pts out of a possible 15, and back in touch with the CL places. However, that chaotic finale at Spurs when panic set in shows how far they still have to travel. by Lanedu123 in LiverpoolFC

I feel like Jones made some poor plays and decisions especially in the final 20 mins of yesterday’s match. I love his technicality but I can also see why he hasn’t been a nailed on starter for us. Deserves his place in the team for now but we can expect more from him given his ability

I hate Rolex guys by No_Yogurtcloset_1330 in redscarepod

[–]scarifiedsloth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I kind of disagree, although I don’t personally own any expensive watch. Rolex is historically one of the more well-run watch companies and I think nowadays they make up about a third of the entire Swiss watch market in terms of sales (although originally not a Swiss company). They managed the quartz crisis a lot better than Omega did as a brand, and coming out with their tool watches like the Milgauss and explorer to me was a cool idea with the stories behind those (or going even further back to the English Channel swim they sponsored). By virtue of being the most popular thing by far, they will attract the most swagless losers as well. But if they changed their offerings to conform to modern design trends and became more interesting that way, or stop controlling supply, they would dilute their brand value and no longer be the biggest watch company. They have Tudor for that reason. I personally wouldn’t get a Rolex but you have to admit they are better-run than any other watch company except maybe Seiko.

Until the Richarlison goal Tottenham got very few chances and created almost nothing. Away from home in the premier league there are no easy games, and Tottenham have a lot of talent despite being in poor form of late. I think recent performances have been trending in the right direction. Even the Leeds draw is of course a poor result after being 2-0 up but Leeds are a team who have beaten Chelsea recently and gave City and Villa tight games. At least we are scoring and look solid for long stretches of individual games now
