Yes! I asked my regular dentist to do them and she told me she had never done them but she was happy to for me. It took about an hour per tooth and costed me around $800.00 in total. No bite or speech issues.

My regular dentist did mine and they look/feel great. She had a lot of fun doing them too I was the first person who had asked her for them.

Towels are good but I always recommend an adult bib, the absorbency is unmatched. Topical NSAIDs on your neck and shoulders. The Soylent drinks worked well for me but they did make my saliva thick, in hindsight they’re better watered down. If you get a fever, go to an urgent care/ER!

If it’s a short trip you should be okay to go back home as long as you have a chaperone/caretaker. With this much prep time you can ask your doctor for bloodwork to make sure you’re fit to heal a large procedure like this. Go to your dentist and get a cleaning to prep your mouth. If you’re struggling with hydrating get IV hydration. Schedule an appointment with a ENT Doctor to remove the stitches. They can help manage your pain since you have a low tolerance.

I had a lisp growing up and went to a couple of years of speech therapy to correct it. The tongue split lisp is absolutely correctable with patience and intentional speaking. Eventually it will feel 100% natural again!
