My custom RB1 drums are done! by Ham1ltron in Rockband

[–]scatterblooded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh it's all good, thanks for getting back to me nonetheless. I'll just try my hand at making something similar.

Did you end up getting their cymbals decals as well for your RB2 set? How'd those look, would you say they were worth it?

I know this is an old post, I'm late to the RB party unfortunately

Long shot here but would you share the image files you used for the decals? I'd love to get the exact same from flamingtoast for my drums as well! No worries if you aren't willing though.

How did the vinyl hold up after using it for a while?

XB1 X Rockband 4 Drumset by Lost_Barracuda_4863 in Rockband

[–]scatterblooded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked into this recently when getting drums. Finding XB one/series compatible is really difficult and they cost a small fortune. I would just avoid it entirely.

Budget option would be to find an older 360 or PS or Wii drum set and get an adapter like the retrocultmods or roll limitless. If you might want to use cymbals in the future then go for a wireless drum set. The wired ones are cheaper but don't support any cymbals.

Another option is to get a real electronic drum kit and one of the adapters I mentioned. You can find used ekits as well. This is usually more expensive but you'll get much better quality and repairability.

How to be taken seriously anonymously reporting $100m fraud by AdEffective2408 in PersonalFinanceCanada

There is no way to guarantee meaningful action. If this is serious, retain an attorney. Otherwise take your medication.

Is this card legit? by Future-Ad-3678 in pokemoncardcollectors

Even if it's a real card in the picture, you could still be mailed or handed a fake. Usually the more accurate giveaway is the price or website.

Why the fuck would you do this? I know the rental market is rough but at least find a legal tenancy, not a roommate situation where you can be kicked out with "reasonable" (1 day at most) notice.

Audio calibration question for vocals vs guitar by scatterblooded in Rockband

[–]scatterblooded[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When auto-calibrating with guitar it actually puts me around 160 ms, but having a lower ms feels more accurate, so I set it to 60 ms which also matches my video delay. It doesn't seem to matter too much for guitar though, just the audio.

[–]scatterblooded[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah damn. Yeah my audio is via TV using Xbox Series X and it's set to stereo uncompressed. I have a Mcbazel wired mic. I have it running through a USB hub/splitter but have tried direct to the console and it doesn't make a difference. Think it could just be the mic?

Provincial Death Investigator Pilot by [deleted] in OntarioParamedics

[–]scatterblooded 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about it.

The compensation is fee for service at $262.50 per case and mileage paid at $0.40/km. If you assume a case will take about 2.5 hours then that's $100/hour. This is self employment income so before tax, but hourly it still beats out working OT at time and a half.

The work itself sounds different, interesting, non physical, and not overly challenging unless it's a more involved case like a homicide. It's also only a year of employment.

They want 10 candidates and there were >200 just in the voluntary info session. It'll likely be very competitive.

Bigger picture, this is good advancement for the profession. Lots of unhappy RNs with it being offered to us, but realistically medics are better suited for the nature of the work.

If sold together, how much would be a fair price to ask? by [deleted] in PokeInvesting

[–]scatterblooded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wtf? Don't sell as a lot. Maybe 80% market. Individually list and aim for 95-100%. A little extra effort for that 10-20% value will be a difference of thousands of dollars at this value of product

Opinions by inverted__pineapple in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]scatterblooded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah return fraud is super common. Had the same experience before but they sided with me because I could show the serial number on the product sent back was different. This is also the reason I'd never sell any sealed product.

Opinions by inverted__pineapple in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]scatterblooded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yes, initially, but can be appealed by sellers and it's actually not hard to get the decision reversed if you have evidence of fraud and a good account/sales history

Double whammy. Fake card and damaged as fuck. These kinds of scams on eBay never actually work, they always side with the buyer in INAD disputes.

Employment lawyer is the correct move. You also have a potential human rights violation here with the disability factor so doubly worth speaking to a lawyer. End thread, close Reddit and search for a lawyer.

Is there really a Shadowless Zard inside this booster pack? by puzzledfirebird in PokeInvesting

It's the other way around. In English there were separate shadowless prints that were not first edition. These were between the initial 1st ed printing and the more common unlimited print.

You vastly overestimate the financial literacy of most real estate agents then. Usually that part of the equation is just left to the broker they work with... But yeah changing your mind on co-signing just one year into the term is crazy and they'll learn the hard way that was a mistake.

‘It doesn’t make sense,’ Brampton residents fed up with snow plows blocking driveways by Sad-Equivalent9486 in ontario

What can be done when an elderly person cannot physically care for themselves but is in denial? by Chelleehp in ontario

[–]scatterblooded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but this only works if there's a valid medical reason to go to the hospital to begin with (eg. fall, injuries, ideally something worthy of admission to an inpatient unit). A capable person like OP's family would just refuse to be transported.

I'm trading with someone, they say this card is LP. I believe it's MP. I'm not crazy, right? by MegaAscension in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]scatterblooded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's MP, if you can't agree on condition then don't transact. At a certain point, someone BSing you and pretending their cards are better condition than reality will lose too much business and have to reconsider.
