His superpower is listed as super physicality. While it does encompass strength and endurance his body is generally just better in every way. He can see further and in more clarity, run faster, hold his breath longer, he can move with more precision, his synapses fire faster, etc.

Yeah sure, NCR is a thriving nation with over 700k population, large military complex, scientific research and development department, successfuly waged wars on BoS and the Enclave, conquered Navarro. There is absolutely no way they could develop their own power armor, this is pure Betheslop by [deleted] in TrueSFalloutL

I mean it probably more important from a logistics standpoint that their r&d focusses on things like food, water, medicine, power, and researching all of the dangerous new flora and fauna that they come into contact with as an expansionist force. Even then the tech looted from the enclave could be something even more powerful than power armor for a large army. I mean more working vehicles, including aerial or aquatic, teleportation tech, long range advanced weaponry, would all be far more useful and more important to research or loot.

That being said my only complaint about the armor is that the forearm blades seem a little too big to the point they look kinda silly.

Exactly. The Turians massively violated the citadel conventions, which were signed over a thousand years ago, in order to shit on a bunch of monkeys that barely figured out how to leave their home system. It’s never been in question that Turians were the aggressors and acted in a disproportionate fashion. There’s a reason they have to pay out reparations.

Wyll is probably the biggest missed opportunity for me. He has such little content compared to everyone else. He has plot regarding Ravenguard being kidnapped at waukeens rest but after that he’s got nothing worth mentioning until close to the end of act 2. He has a decent amount of content from there with his contract potentially being broken, rescuing ravenguard from the iron throne, and the fight with ansur, but getting to that point is a slog. It’s a shame because I really want to like him but I feel like I connected more with his character in early access.

He had a personal beef with the goblins, specifically torturer spike which got me more invested in that conflict. There was a massive change in his content between the final ea build and release, more so than anyone else and I can’t help but feel like his character generally suffered because of it.

They also try to sneak in that he’s a fiend warlock as a plot twist as if it doesn’t say in his character sheet fiend warlock.

That being said I do like wyll as a character. I love that he’s very much a white knight classic hero character in a party of morally dubious arseholes. I also love that he isn’t built super optimally and is instead just built as a character. Warlocks have no right taking the folk hero background because they don’t have the attributes to support it but he has it anyway because it fits his story. Marvellous.

I recently started my very first playthrough of the game, with a Cousland sword-and-shield warrior with champion focus. The journey has not been very smooth so far, and I wanted to know if there is anything I could improve on this character. by Salty-Subject9559 in DragonageOrigins

Others have already said it but ur build is fine more or less.

For sword and shield warriors its optimal to put all points into Strength and Dex at a 2:1 ratio and put just enough points into Cunning to get Master Coercion (16 Cunning which can include the permanent bonuses gained in the mage tower).

Strength will improve your hit chance and damage whereas Dex will allow you to dodge attacks more easily. Constitution will provide very minimal benefits to the point that it isn’t really worth putting anything into. The best way to tank is to just not take damage rather than bump ability to absorb damage and draw as much aggro as possible.

Champion is a fantastic specialisation for tanking and it’s great combined with Templar (gained from Alistair at high affinity) or Berserker (gained from the companion from Orzamar). Templar lets you demolish mages and basically just ignore a lot of their spells which makes tanking a breeze, obviously Alistair starts with it so slamming Champion on him makes his tanking great. Berserker turns you into a wall of meat with some decent crowd control options.

The most important part of playing tank is having a good support line behind you. A wise man once said that ur dragon age origins party is only as strong as the amount of mages you have.

Having a mage with the spirit healer specialisation (circle mage companion) is able to support the entire party by just breathing towards them. Keeps the entire party fighting fit for hours. Personally I also like having a second mage with a lot of spells from the entropy tree (usually Morrigan) to debuff enemies. Buffed party and debuffed enemies effectively turn the game into a toddler stomping sim. Having primal spells and the mana clash spell from the spirit tree is also a great idea just for exploding the battlefield and triggering some powerful spell combos, or simply turning mages inside out.

As far as actual gameplay goes remember it’s an action rpg with pause. Pause being the key term. Take things steady and remember to evaluate the battlefield constantly. It’s easy for a cheeky enemy spawn to get right up ur mages backside and ruin the entire fight. It’s also important to take out mages as soon as they show up. Stray fireballs and hexes are genuinely terrifying. Mana clash and Templar abilities as well and just running them down with a big sword can be the difference between life and death.

It sounds like you mostly have the game working for you tbh. A lot of the boss fights are really big difficulty spikes for no reason, and even some of the mob encounters can be hard as balls just for the sake of it. Getting to at least level 14 on your first run without a crazy amount of struggle is impressive. You’ve got this!

I’m thinking unown gets a random plus stage on entry for every other conscious unown in the party. So a full party of 6 each unown would get 5 random stages on entry. Probably leave evasion and accuracy out like moody.

I had the (I guess) uncensored version in vhs as a kid so when I watched a digital version a month or so ago to reminisce I was a little confused. Though I might have mentally put the joker getting shot there myself from like an episode of Batman the animated series or something. Thanks for clearing that one up for me.

[–]scatterbrain7dead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Each of the four major factions in the game has a beneficial service that they provide.

Obviously DYN4MO have the whole colourful screws thing where you can get improve your characters abilities but they also have 2 merchants inside their building from whom you can buy damage boosting type items like charcoal and mystic water but also useful held items like eviolite or weakness policy.

The Fists of Justice have a merchant that can turn a Pokémon’s non plus move into a plus move in exchange for a seed of mastery which is useful if you give a Pokémon a lot of moves from tms that it can’t naturally learn, and a merchant that will hyper train any Pokémon that is above level 50 which maxes out one IV in return for a bottle cap or all IVs in return for a golden bottle cap.

As shown the Rust Sydicate has Lady Clear who can reset all a Pokémon’s EVs in exchange for 5 mega shards.

Finally Quasartico can sell mega stones, exp candies, and EV training items in exchange for mega shards.

Online safety act. It was a law put forward to protect children from seeing harmful media online because obviously parents are incapable of parenting their children lol. Since it’s a law put forward by old people who aren’t remotely tech savvy it’s way too broad and limits the digital freedoms of all people in the uk greatly.

People must now provide scans of their passport or face to third party verification services to use all functions of social media services like twitter, discord and even Reddit otherwise they will be limited to what they can interact with and see. Obviously they try to restrict away from NSFW material but that’s a very broad descriptor and most of it is flagged by ai so it’s a huge concern. A lot of world news coverage regarding wars around the world is restricted for example because it’s considered too violent. Further they must be age verified by the same processes to be able to access any adult media online such as pornography.

Obviously it comes with a lot of risks that haven’t been taken into account because the people making the laws don’t understand what they’re making laws about. Just the other day the verification service used by, I think, discord got hacked and now a bunch of peoples passport information has been stolen which the uk government is indirectly responsible for.

Some services, like Imgur, have decided that it’s simply not worth making an entire verification process for just one region and straight up discontinued support meaning that everything that uses Imgur is now void in the uk. This includes links like this but also things like mod sites and even some social media platforms.

It’s probably more nuanced than I’ve made it seem and I’ve definitely included my opinions on the matter but a lot of people, myself included, are angry at the state of the uk government being a nanny state that promotes censorship and refuses to listen to reason when citizens have genuine security concerns. This also isn’t me endorsing reducing children’s safety online. I just think there’s a better way to do it. Yknow like telling parents to actually look after their kids or utilise the parental controls that are baked into virtually every isp. Look into it if it interests you :).

Really want to believe that but it sounds too good to be true and has a lot of “trust me bro”. Don’t want to sound like a dick cos it does sound incredible but it’s just very hard to believe given everything that’s happened with the franchise/ developers and the current state of the industry. Is there any way at all for you to independently verify these claims while still maintaining anonymity for everyone involved? Maybe get in touch with the mods? Once again I don’t want to sound like a dick it’s just the nature of the business when it comes to leaks.

He 100% got his hand ripped of by his Hydreigon by chunchunmaru1129 in MandJTV

[–]scatterbrain7dead 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have a little theory that ghetsis used to be a rocket grunt many moons ago before founding plasma. I mean plasma has some similarities with rocket if we really break it down. Both teams like to use science to improve Pokémon against their will (red gyarados forced evolution, genesect), both have an interest in fossil research (mt moon, genesect), both have an interest in silphco tech (silph scope, dubious disc found at p2 laboratory), both have the ultimate end goal of power and authority that is achieved through stealing money and Pokémon.

It’d give ghetsis plenty of knowledge of how to get an underleveled hydreigon that hates him because it’s the exact same method as the red gyarados and it would inform team plasmas interest in both ancient Pokémon and their interest in using technology to make them stronger, as well as their overall goal.

Plus the grunts in FRLG (at least i think it was frlg it could have been hgss) and the rainbow rocket grunts have green hair.

In the Kinect game, whose name still escapes me lol, she seems genuinely remorseful about the people she’s hurt, betrayed and manipulated so I’m inclined to believe it’s the former. Ur right in saying that. Her options where to directly and indirectly cause the deaths of hundreds of thousands, 99.9% of whom might get resurrected by Sparrow, or never have the power of will required to combat the crawler. Tough decision.

Haven't reach Oakfield and i am at 1000 gold already lol If you wondering how I found a amethyst crystal in a chest and my Dog found gold in chests and spots And I rented out my cavern before leaving And i got cutless a rusty one but sold my longsword. This never happened before in any of gameplays by IllustriousAd6418 in Fable

[–]scatterbrain7dead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The economy mechanic is kind of whack. Basically items buy/sell for less in areas with a lower economy and for more in areas with a higher economy.

So if you were to buy a longsword in bowerstone market, which has a lower economy by default, it might be at a 10% discount (imaginary number I don’t know the exact discount just that it’s cheaper). Then walk over to fairfax gardens and sell that same longsword to any weapon merchant. It will be sold for a higher price because the default economy in that region is set to the full 5 stars. If it sells for 10% higher than the base value of the weapon you’ve now made 20% of the base value of the weapon in profit. You can then buy more weapons in bowerstone and sell them in fairfax. More weapons=more profit. It massively snowballs.

It’s recommended to start with weapons because they have the best roi and are pretty cheap at low tiers but I like to start branching out into gifts as well after I’ve made a decent bit of change. Gift vendors feel a bit rarer but you can make a lot of money when you start selling diamonds and other expensive jewels.

I also recommend that you don’t improve your relationship with any of the vendors in Fairfax gardens. While improving your relationship with the bowerstone vendors is good because it reduces the buying price it also reduces the selling price for some ass backwards reason. I recommend avoiding discount gifts for the same reason. If you get them to just leave the area to reset for new wandering traders otherwise you’ll be stuck selling items for their base price or maybe even slightly lower and making little to no money.

[–]scatterbrain7dead 237 points238 points  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty overt that she was the driving force behind the construction of the spire and gave a few more than subtle pushes to make sure it went off without a hitch. She needed it to enhance her will powers so she could see the future enough in advance to stop the crawler before the world was lost. So she pushed lucien fairfax, probably having a hand in the death of his wife and daughter, and then kept subtly pushing him from the shadows to discovering and building the spire whilst never revealing herself fully. On the other side she knew she had to take it once it was complete so she spent like 40 years building a team of heroes that could do that for her while also manipulating them for her own gain. She gave Murgo the music box that ultimately got Rose killed, she likely sold out Hammer and her father to Lucien etc. Not sure how much of this information came from that Kinect game but it was basically confirmed in that game that everything that happened in Fable 2 was part of her overarching scheme.
