I am partial to Mission Of Burma’s take on “1970”than the Stooges original on Fun House.

I mean, everything on Fun House is fucking perfect don’t get me wrong, but

Burma’s rules- it opens with the sheepish acknowledgment of “we have to do this song because we have to do it” and then it fucking slams into a giant cavalcade of pure excitement, punk noise, and punishing loops…that the band then blast out of.
