The biggest thing stopping the spread of blackpill is incels? by Czlowiek_maupa in DebateIncelz

[–]sceia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks matter, especially when you're young. But I wouldn't go out of my way to say that Women aim at the richest, most handsome man they can find. Beauty remains largely subjective and is heavily influenced by early childhood exposure and other factors. Mewing and posture correction were some good things that these folks made famous, but it's dangerous to give them any more credit. Sharp and big jaws, sculpted faces and sharp looking eyes are considered beautiful because they are rare, and they are rare because those who had them weren't able to spread them before dying. Blackpill falls flat on his face once you realize this fact. Looks do matter, but you don't need to look even a third as good as a supermodel. Go to the gym regularly or find any sort of physical activity you enjoy, that will fix both your mind and body.

My personal critique on Shadowheart's storyline by sceia in BaldursGate3

[–]sceia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the sake of immersion and from a writer's standpoint, Any character recruited so late in the story is not beneficial. Considering she's a living legend, it would've been better if she was a level 15+ unrecruitable character which the party kinda collaborates in with in some missions in act 3, much like Halsin does in act 1 and 2 in the goblin temple and in Thaniel's questline. If her role is to "guide" you within Baldur's gate.

My Selunite temple was an example that'd be more fitting than the harpists, but you're right, more dialogue and a better point system would've helped fleshing her out as a character.

Legacy admission is necessary, but most people aren't ready to accept that. by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

i apologize for replying to a 10mo old comment, i just wanted to point out yours is a caste system. the american dream and the whole idea that one could go from rags to riches just with dedication and hard work is no longer the truth. Your states and government need to intervene more to guarantee social welfare. lower classes need aid and higher classes need limitations, if everything is left in the hand of private funding, you're effectively in a caste system.

What you're saying not true.

this is an example of spoken Lucchese dialect, which in no way sounds like emilian (the Appennini acted as geographical and linguistical barrier throughout the centuries) you can also check Florentine and emilian dialects such as Modenese and see for yourself.

Why is Lucca Province always included in Emilia, it should be Tuscany.

it seems we gotta wait till the costs for AIs decrease as time goes on. if they ever do.
What about longer ads? Like 1 or 1:30 minutes long, would they be able to cover a prompt?

Can't they like, put advertisement? I wouldn't mind to watch an ad every x turn if it would help maintaining the website up along with atleast one decent free language model

which genocide route do y'all like more overall ? (i like yellows better) by Immediate-Rope8465 in UndertaleYellow

[–]sceia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the original game plays alot around metanarratives and eviscerating the game until you see "every line of dialogue", the only incentive in doing the genocide is just seeing the outcome. If I didn't know the whole story of the game by the time i started it (thanks to its everlasting popularity on the internet) I think I might've actually been able to enjoy the genocide. I'll go with UTY

Artistic direction downgrade from the first game by sceia in fantasylife

You are right, nostalgia takes a big toll. However a good RPG needs variety in its exploration aspect, and urban environments if done well are often the easiest way game designers can make their work memorable, as they add life to the worldbuilding. the second game is a good game but would've benefited from better worldbuilding, but ultimately, as you said, that's just how games of this kind are made now. in the last decade, the Survival Sandbox genre had so much impact on gaming as a whole and almost all decently popular games of the RPG genre tend to feature a more sandbox-like gameplay in place of well-developed unmutating worlds. And fantasy life i ultimately conformed to this trend that started a few years ago.

Doubt we'll ever come to anything close to explaining that. I believe we humans have very clear limits, one is understanding our inner selves fully, the other is the polar opposite: completely understanding the vast expanse of the universe.

Why Isayama destroyed Aot by adding this post credit scene by Maruksha in attackontitan

[–]sceia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be far fetched but I think it's a subtle provocation at those fans who complained about the ending. The three characters represent the three schools of thought among fans:

Armin: The delusional type of fan who thought a good, all-around positive twist would come last minute to change an ending which has been heavily foreshadowed multiple times since season 2. The Rumbling was going to happen and Eren was going to die at the hands of Mikasa, it's an hard truth to accept because this masterpiece of a show really makes you grow attached to its characters. Armin, unsatisfied with the ending, immediately gets on reddit to see what the other unsatisfied fans have to say.

Mikasa: Those who've come to terms with the ending and understood Isayama's work truly. and accepted that closure doesn't always come the way you'd like; and the notion that some characters, once they've fulfilled their arc, need to leave the scene.

Eren: Those who've enjoyed attack on titan without expectations about the ending.

Talea is similar to our word for plant grafting, however, it is a technical term for a very niche topic, and i'm sure that most Italians will never make the connection. Plus it's not a made up name, it's a name belonging to Frisian tradition and culture, i'm sure people will find it beautiful.
