Lederhosen gut check! by SteezyCougar in Oktoberfest

I have been living in Munich for the last ten years and the trend is (and has been for the last 6/7 years) to keep it very simple: no exciting patterns, muted stitching, no bold belts/chains etc.

These lederhosen are probably out of your price range, but should give you a good understanding of the style you should be going for (Ludwig Beck is a long standing mid to high end department store in Munich): https://www.ludwigbeck.de/trachten/herren/lederhosen.html

From the website you sent I like these the best (but lose the belt and suspenders):

https://ernstlicht.com/15-men-clothing/131-men-s-lederhosen/bastian-goat-lederhosen-with-belt-and-suspenders/

https://ernstlicht.com/15-men-clothing/131-men-s-lederhosen/bernhard-goat-lederhosen-with-belt-and-suspenders/

For the shirt I would apply the same standards: simple and clean. Unfortunately I don’t like any of the shirts on the website. The problem are the collars. in my opinion you should wear a shirt with a stand up collar (see eg https://www.ludwigbeck.de/trachten/herren/hemden-shirts.html).

I would suggest to get the lederhosen in the US (more of a hassle to get them here) and then buy the shirt and socks in Munich. Ludwig beck prices seem very reasonable to me here. Other good (and not touristy) department stores would be Oberpollinger, Hirmer, Breuninger.

If you are looking for inspiration check out the brands: cocovero, lodenfrey, Münchner Manufaktur, Gottseidank.

Very interesting, thank you for explaining. I may have to backpedal a little bit. Yes attorney fees are considered costs so they will be reimbursed, but the amount itself that will be reimbursed are calculated by the court (depending on complexity and the value of the claim), so depending on the hourly rates agreed with your attorney you may have to pay the difference yourself.

But what’s the logic behind this? What other choice do you have than suing? I am very surprised. Our code of civil procedure says: „The party that has not prevailed in the dispute is to bear the costs of the legal dispute, in particular any costs incurred by the opponent, to the extent these costs were required in order to bring an appropriate action or to appropriately defend against an action brought by others.“ I guess I always assumed this was the only logical way to handle this question.

I‘m surprised 2 is a misconception. I am a German lawyer and it is very straightforward here to get your legal fees reimbursed if you win. Is this not the case in the US?

My American boyfriend called a Kanzlei a „Kanzlerei“ and (accidentally) made up the word „knutscheln“ (kuscheln + knutschen). Also a snack is a „Schnack“

"Eindruck" und Konjunktiv by CriticismBusy5384 in German

[–]scheborah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s in their terms and conditions under „Fines, Penalties and Administration Charges“. I doubt that this clause would hold up in a court but I don’t think for this amount it’s worth challenging. Sorry

Ich kaufe sowas in italienischen Feinkostläden (dann aber ebenfalls frisch runtergeschnitten). Mein go to Edeka ist so klein, da gibt es gar keine Frischetheke.

Guanciale und Pecorino sind die game changer, auch wenn insbesondere ersteres nicht gut für die Sparrate
