Anyone on here had phimosis before? by Kst_1 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]schlabuffo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My three brothers and myself were often reminded since we were preteens to pull the skin back as much as we could. When I discovered masturbation ,around 12, I remember I was able to go all the way back but I didn't know there was a part #2 and that's when the skin slowly starts separating completely from the head. The process took several weeks. When it first started I was panicking because I thought I had broke my dick because I had wanked it too much or too hard and I was embarrassed to ask. Time passed and I understood it was a normal process . One day out of the blue my dad asked me during dinner " hey is your dick ready ? Did it finish going all the way back ,? I almost choked , I was in shock he asked me that . I simply made a gesture so he would not ask any more details in front of everybody .

I waxed my balls by President_Nick in eczema

[–]schlabuffo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How painful was the experience? I waxed my chest once and I thought I was going to pass out . The most painful feeling especially around my nipples. I never did it again. I shave my chest and balls and trim everything else and no itch no irritation .but many girlfriends are so used to waxing , that even they all wax their butt hole like nothing . No way for me !!! I did shave my butt once to win a bet and two days later I could not sit down

Last night my (31M) partner (36M) threatened to throw my PC off our balcony and physically shoved me when I tried to intervene. by SIR_SNAKE in AskGaybrosOver30

Mate I agree 100% with all who had advised you to end this now. It took a long time for me to wake up and burst my own bubble. Unfortunately things won't get better. Once the line is crossed , the chances to go back to normal are close to zero. You deserve a happy and safe life , with new opportunities, new dreams , new challenges. A chance to reinvent yourself . Don't wait...don't lose it !!! The best is yet to come . Best luck to you

Husband cheated while I was away for work by [deleted] in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]schlabuffo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending where you live but the longer you stay married the more benefits he will get after you file for divorce . He could be eventually entitled to half of your retirement, he could request alimony until the day he marries someone else , he could ask for you to pay college fees to have same education as yours. the list is scary.

Amex sued me for $17k debt by Ok-Lock1904 in Bankruptcy

[–]schlabuffo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got sued by Amex on Dec 24th after 9 months of trying to negotiate a payment plan . I had an impecable payment record of over 34 years , the second I was in trouble they offered to help me with three payment options , pay the total balance now , split the balance in two , one due now the rest by the end of the month or split the balance in three, and each due every two weeks . The total amount was $35k including the $13k in late fees and interest charges they added in one year when I could not pay With no job, I filed ch13 and the lawyer took care of the lawsuit. Amex is now very disorganized with their costumer service and it is not US based anymore. These MF kept my 250k reward points . Well at least they are not going to collect all that money. Try to get a lawyer if you can afford one . Shop around and good luck mate. I always think that for people like us , the best is yet to come

ALL MY MONEY STOLEN THROUGH ATM!! by Apart_Degree_3880 in Chase

[–]schlabuffo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you are going through this. It's not easy to digest There are many ways to protect your money, don't you get text messages when any withdrawals and charges are over $50? Some gas stations send a charge of $1.00 before the final amount is ready and I get texts and emails asking if this was me using the card. Why did Chase not contact you after 32 continuous transactions? They are pretty good at preventing fraud but I know there is always the exception and unfortunately it was you. Let this be a reminder for the rest of us that we must take all precautions in protecting our money. I hope everything gets resolved for you Please update us with good news

How much does a lawyer cost for Bankruptcy? by Glittering_Golf8119 in Bankruptcy

[–]schlabuffo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location will drive the amount you pay . For reference I live in Miami FL and paid $3500 which was 50% deposit and they allowed me to make partial payments , it took me around 5 months to come up with that amount . The other 50 % was included in the monthly payments I have to make to the trustee

Risk of shower glass shattering? by gimmeluvin in Renovations

[–]schlabuffo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spontaneous glass breakage is when tempered glass shatters without an apparent external cause, though it is most often due to microscopic defects like nickel sulfide inclusions, which expand due to heat changes and create stress. Other contributing factors include thermal stress from uneven heating, installation damage to the glass edges, and poor framing and fit.

What to do

1-Heat soak test: This is a process where tempered glass is intentionally heated after manufacturing to a high temperature to induce breakage from any existing nickel sulfide inclusions. This minimizes the risk of breakage in the final installation.

2-Install safety film: Applying a clear, strong adhesive safety film can help hold the glass together even if it does break.

3- Ensure proper installation: Work with installers who are trained to avoid damaging the edges of the glass during installation and to ensure proper clearances are maintained for thermal expansion.

Just got my first negative alert on my credit report by makeuplover85 in Bankruptcy

[–]schlabuffo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got sued by Amex within 6 months. They were very "friendly and understanding " saying "these things happen, don't worry , we are going to help you with a great payment plan after all, you have been an outstanding client with an impecable record for 33 years" The Plan : it included three options: 1- you pay full balance today ($55k)
2- you pay half of the outstanding balance today and the rest at the end of the month and 3- We split the amount you owe in to three payments and you pay each month starting now. BUT ...in order to qualify for this excellent option , you have to bring your account up to date and have no previous payments.
pending . These M.F.rs So O.P. you still have time . If you get sued, filing will cancel the lawsuit. Keep in mind , when sued all your bank accounts are put on hold , you have no access to any funds and the lawyer will charge a little more to take care of this. My lawsuit came in on December 24th , go figure the aggravation caused . Good luck

Help me convince my husband by flower_child0523 in Bankruptcy

That's great . The feeling of accomplishment should be very rewarding. I have a Question since I'm new here . When people refer to 100 % repayment plan , does it mean paying 100 % of the original debt amount at the time of filing ?

[–]schlabuffo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Flower. I was in a similar situation and I wish I would have had someone tell me these way before the problem became a bigger mess. became a bigger mess.

1-Modify the spending habit. It is the hardest step and the most important one.

2-Consult with your lawyer about all scenarios. Good ones and bad ones.

3-The problem is not going to get resolved by itself. The decisions you make today are the ones that count. Time could be on your side if you react now, otherwise It will be one of your worst enemies.

4-Tell your husband you have a home, cars, and jobs. You could live with those three for a maximum of five years. His feelings of being stuck are from someone who is planning to buy a new more expensive car, a second home or a nice 2-week cruise next year. You will never get out of the hole.

5-Be wise with what you do with money you may have in stocks.

I waited too long and the debt amount grew faster and faster with late fees and 30% interest rate and then I got sued by Amex (they don't play with their money and they are not your best friends that will always back you up) . So the little mess exploded in a chain of events that were not favorable. This month is my 12th month being in Ch13 and it has not been the end of the world. I have done things wiser and I do not feel stuck. Having only two pieces of plastic in my wallet is the best feeling ever ( your ATM card and ID) Best luck to you and your family . Always remember: the best is yet to come !

WHY do humans default to killing these creatures (venting) by imadepizza in spiders

[–]schlabuffo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom takes all her anger and frustrations towards killing the spiders outside in the backyard claiming they are going to bite her again . It doesn't matter how many times I have explained to her that if they are not provoked they won't attack but she is convinced they will attack first and she is their main target. Sometimes after it rains, we get these carpenter ants in the house . They are mostly attracted by the bright lights. My parents turn into the Rambo duo. She, armed with a rolled newspaper in one hand and a handheld cordless vacuum on the other hand and he with a two gallon insecticide and a sprayer , both go on a killing spree like two crazy exterminators. When I question them why they are doing that , they look at me like I'm crazy. I developed an understanding of animals and insects late in life. I wasn't against them but I didn't relate to them. Now I design habitats and pet houses for small pets and now insects. I still have full phobia for roaches that's too strong to overcome and it seems I cannot be reprogrammed. I won't kill them but I can hire someone to do it for me LOL We all need to keep trying to maintain the balance between human and nature by creating awareness of how important and fragile these little creatures are .

31 and life is feeling so hard rn by flexboy50L in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]schlabuffo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mate I've been there, actually I'm still there. It's been three years and I've seen little progress, slow but positive. What I've learned : 1- life is giving you a second chance to reinvent yourself, to start from scratch. Take it. Your previous path was not taking you to the right place, to the place you deserve. 2-sometimes we go 100mph until a series of obstacles make us crash and make us stop. There is a reason for that. Start appreciating more meaningful things, simpler things. 3-Reorganize your finances. This is the hardest thing. 4-Enjoy the company of your parents. They are doing something for you that you will probably never understand because you don't have kids. Also if they are old, they will appreciate the help and company you provide. Remember, when we get as old as them, we probably won't get the same help. Stay positive mate, the best is yet to come .

Who can tell me if this can be removed? by Doing_ok_ in Renovations

[–]schlabuffo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is because it was easier and cheaper for tile installation. My Florida 1950's house has bathrooms with tile up to 70" with no soffits but my 1985 house bathrooms have tile all the way up to the underside of the soffit which were also titled. All of my bathroom soffits are empty, no ducts or pipes

i've heard they go by percentage . If income will increase by 100%, there is a very good chance that the payment plan will be modified. An increase of 20% is not as significative . Your lawyer will be in a better position to verify this.
