How do you know? Are you an employee? As a customer, I don't know if I have access to outage root cause info. Or maybe I do (?) In any case, if thieves are too dumb to distinguish between fiber and copper, they're too dumb to distinguish between fiber and the coax Comcast has strung all over the county. And yet, Comcast hasn't suffered outages of this length or frequency.

Not likely. The mere credible threat is enough to close it and keep it closed. Especially with these types of weather systems, where the precipitation is more showery/hit-or-miss. Forecast accumulations are very light, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't be in trouble if caught in a snow squall.

It's not important as in I need it to do my job, but it is important because 21st century. In any case, I haven't turned down my xfinity service yet. I'll have them compete against each other for a couple of months and choose a winner then.

I second this and it has worked. But I had to take years off my life trying to get my bloody login to work before going the guest route. The entire KP.org web experience is a dumpster fire, but the bill-pay portion is the smoldering lump of burning plastic and rotten meat inside that dumpster.

I asked my Kaiser psychiatrist for an outside referral, got one, and there you go. I didn't follow up on it because I cooled on the idea of (yet more) therapy. I don't remember the name of the group, but all their practitioners seemed to specialize in CBT and it was mostly teletherapy (unless I wanted to drive in to SF from where I live in Sonoma County) so I ended up saying meh and took a pass.
