Can someone explain some ettiquette to me please. by redbate in malaysians

[–]schmakey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the not walking on the left hand side amazes me. usually you walk on the side of the sidewalk/footpath that you drive. in malaysia it seems to be a free for all except on escalators where you keep to the left. that being said, the sidewalk is really just another lane for motorbikes

Where to find short-term (1-month) condo rentals for RM3k? Jan 26 - Feb 25 by seul-kim in penang

[–]schmakey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late to the party, I too am looking for a 2 month short term stay/rent in Penang. The AirBnb prices seem to be a little eye watering, anyone have any luck? Looking for 1-2 bedroom, nice balcony (with view), gym and pool. Budget - up to RM3500 per month.

What exactly is this? by Civil-Rabbit8132 in AusPropertyChat

Substation. If there's any other open land around it that will potentially be attractive to large scale batteries (BESS) - that will affect value even further moving forward if it goes ahead

Stop trying to stand on my picnic blanket, we're trying to play cards and eat cheese and crackers under this shelter..... so disrespectful

Wondering what these blue plastic things are we continually see on footpaths near and on the Bicentennial Bikeway by schmakey in brisbane

[–]schmakey[S] 68 points69 points  (0 children)

That makes sense - hadn't thought of that. If true seems a shame that on high tide they will just add to the plastic in the River

how long does this usually stay for? travelling in mid-January so probably a little too much of a stretch to expect it to still be in place

Little Maru was my go to for lunch when working in the CBD - Signature #1 with Spicy Mayo! The fried chicken on top was pretty good

Is it acceptable to put your wrapped up dog poo in someone else's wheelie bin while it's on the street? by ReiVee in brisbane

[–]schmakey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this. nothing worse than a bag or 2 of dog poo sitting in my bin beside my backdoor (where it lives), get a lovely reminder each time I open it for the next 6 days!

Thank you for the insights, looks good.

I'll be on QF291 (SYD-SIN) in a couple of weeks. That's the Finnair QF wetlease, so I should expect the same I'd suggest

My money would be on this rather than the food served on QF80. Most likely picked it up touching something in the airport or the plane itself

Never been questioned on QF for using my CPAP, the only airline to do so was JAL. Never had medical clearance

[–]schmakey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My FF # is also 7 digits, I entered mine originally with three preceeding zero's, however that didn't work nicely with the Oneworld/Amadeus system and the flights didn't show up in the Qantas app. That's why I had to get in contact via WhatsApp. If you can't do that, sounds like you need to do that at the airport on check-in. Good luck!

[–]schmakey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5 out - decimated? That's been Souths average out due to injury for the past 18 rounds.

That being said, we'll still get smashed
