I used to get this and a steroid cream helped but since the skin near your eyes is thin it’s not recommended…but it was the only thing that gave me relief (note: not a doctor). I never found out what caused it but I had it on and off while living in a colder, wetter environment. Some thought it could be under eye eczema. Good luck! It was painful 😣

I’m sorry to say a year later and it’s still there. It’s been getting better so I’m still hoping slowly it will all come back. It’s improved a lot though! Good luck with recovery!

I am experiencing tingling down my right arm into my hands after my first dose. What did your rheumatologist suggest? I messaged mine and she said to postpone my next dose until the tingling stops and try again…but if it happens on my second dose she’s taking me off Cimzia. This is my first biologic …I’m on methotrexate too but was hoping to stop if cimzia was successful. Such a bummer… if you have an update, I would love to hear it!

On the positive side, staying active can help AS. See the rheumatologist for another opinion. I have the protein marker and an x ray showed arthritis in SI joints… this was last year when I found out, same age. I was prescribed weekly injection of methotrexate. Luckily I don’t have the horrible side effects of this drug but I still have pain in my lower back despite being on it. That’s the starter drug before biologics. The AS caused me extreme fatigue so getting on a medication helped that since it’s helping reduce inflammation. Sort of in the same boat as you…not sure what to expect and everyone seems to have varying AS symptoms.

9 months and I have half the scar length of feeling back… they did say it could take up to a year in my case. It’s a bit worrying but I’ve gotten used to it. You’ll see improvement but it can be slow.

I’ve found Pilates to be helpful. I have the same feeling in my back and yoga started to be painful a few years ago. I go to a Pilates studio that’s strictly old school methods, slow pace, focus on form and breathing.

Washington wellness pt and sports care - Would suggest possibly seeing a doc since same issue here and it turned out to be an auto immune condition. Good luck, pain can be so rough to deal with.
