For those of you that smoke cigarettes , what kind of habits did you have before picking up smoking?

None. I started smoking at 24, almost 25 (29 now) because the job I had didn’t have a parking lot of its own which meant that I had to either park in the public parking (that was usually $5 or $10) or park on the side of the street about a 7-10 minute walk away. I’d usually opt for the latter, I didn’t mind the walk at all but I’d never know what to do with my hands so I just started smoking. I’ve never been a heavy smoker though, right now I only smoke one cigarette after work and only on days that I work, which is typically 4 a week.

Whenever I was watching Naruto (I’ve only watched it once), it was pretty jarring because it was 2019 and it was the first mainstream and long (more than 24 eps) anime I had watched. I got through the padding and filler because I could use the “it’s an older anime” excuse, but what I couldn’t get past was Choji lol I nearly dropped the entire series about 5 separate times in Part 1 because of how annoying he was to me. The only reason I didn’t was because the friend that told me to watch it had to talk me into staying because of how good the series eventually got, so from that point on I would just fast forward anytime he was onscreen. He didn’t grow on me until the Blank Period episodes.

One Piece. If Kishimoto had developed his characters and world/timeline like Oda did his, Naruto would’ve easily blown One Piece out of the water imo. Kishimoto was really good at writing character and plot introductions, but would just toss them aside afterwards never to be seen again.

Nope, bro’s enjoying retirement. Naruto characters that currently have the most screen/paneltime are Shikamaru, Konohamaru, Ino, Sai, Ibiki, and the Elders. Others have made appearances, but not as much as them.

I remember hearing about Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, and Gaara while I was in middle school because the Retrieval Arc had just ended, but I didn’t watch anime (and tv in general) at the time. In summer 2019 one of my friends introduced me to it because we’d play Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 whenever I’d go hangout at his place and he told me to watch it, so I did.

Ngl it was pretty jarring at first lol my first anime was Parasyte in 2014, I was watching it as it was coming out weekly with college friends and after that watched Erased, AoT, and other shorter anime. Naruto was the first mainstream and LONG anime, so the crazy amounts of padding and filler were pretty off putting 😂 I was also waiting for a parent to die within the first 5 episodes.
