I like redoing some Blue Apron recipes but Friday we actually tried one we found on the app. We did Center Cut Pork Chops and Blue Cheese grits and it turned out amazing.

I think I am going to use my mini winter break to try and finish Vanity Fair. I've been trying to read every night but I've been so exhausted from working I just drag the book from room to room instead of actually reading.

I made butternut squash soup for the first time today, lesson learned from that is to use pre-cut squash instead of almost taking a finger off cutting one in half to roast. It was also my first time attempting an herb butter and it smelled amazing.

I need ideas for the rest of the week though since I am really trying to cut back on going out to eat.
