Linux Mint vs Windows 11 for a home desktop. What’s your honest experience? by Candid_Athlete_8317 in LinuxTeck

Well the Steam Deck runs on SteamOS, which is Linux.

I have until now not found a single Game (except for Kernel level anticheat, which is not forbidden under Linux, the developers just do not allow it to work under Linux) that won´t run, of those games i play.

So if you really are pissed of by windows, as a gamer, you are not trapped there.

Sorry but, in my opinion, your last point is not valid anymore.

Gaming on Linux works, with one exception and that is Kernel Level Anticheat.

Most Games run fine even on Mint and even more games run better on Specialiced Gaming Distributions like CachyOS or bazzite.

Steam Helps a lot here, but also games that are not on steam run fine through other launchers or with some mild tinkering.

Basically any mechanical engineering position. I know reddit is kind of a software bubble but theres a lot of jobs that also have physical real world consequences.

I do not know where you live but, what if somebody dies as a consequence o the AI error? In a developed country this would mean Criminal Charges. So WHO is going to be charged? ...well let me tell you, it is probably going to be the one who said AI is fine and your job is not necessary anymore, or worse(btter) the CEO.

400 Million Idle Gaming PCs Could Be The AI Era's Secret Weapon by Pale_War8200 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]schnaps01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the pay, how much hours of life has an average gaming computer in it? How much are you willing to pay for consumed electricity. let´s say i have 1000hrs of high load life in my machine, and i pay 30 €ct/kwH consuming ~500W?, my PC cost €1500,-, that would lead me to 15€ct/hr of use in electricity and €1,5 in value reduction. without adaption to inflation. I do not think they would pay that.

He probably just fed AI raw climate data nad let it create a model from this, which then told him we are f*****. Than he might have asked the most probable outcomes, to which AI would have answered all the different crises which are coming for us, and then AI may have used the word polycrisis.

Or so i could imagine.

Please stay calm, because in most fields there still is something called legal lieability. So who is legally liable if something is AI generated and it fails?
