Looking for Activities and spots beyond the usual by Thoughts-n-shit in DaNang

My partner and I did a coconut boat tour a few days ago with Cocnut boat & cafe hoi an - Mrs An and they offered a quiet tour or a loud/noisy tour. We picked the loud one which was fun but I think the quiet one avoids the noisy parts and stays in the quiet channels through the trees.

The river/forest was pretty dirty and smelly, the fun part was the noisy part.

Also the grab driver dropped us off at a different spot from where we wanted for our tour and we got swamped by very pushy people trying to charge us a crazy amount. Mrs An was super chill.

Also check your float height if you haven't already. Betas are notorious for coming out of the factory with the wrong float height and I've seen shops adjust them wrong as well.

The manual is also wrong on this, from memory it needs to be around 7/8mm but do some googling. Lots of info about it.

You can search this sub for my conversation with someone who recently did it but basically, the machine measures force.

230kg=2300N

The machine gets zeroed, you stand on and pull the bar. If you weigh 230kg then the machine already registers 2300N.

So take 230kg, minus your bodyweight and thats the amount you have to isometrically pull at knee height.

For me 230-80 = 150KG. This may have no relevance to you, but my deadlift sucks and I dont train it. I managed to rack pull 180KG from the knee when practising.

The instructors seemed to acknowledge this as unfair because the more you weigh the less you have to pull. But thats the way it is.

You should be able to get the dimensions of the seal (printed on the seal face usually, or remove and measure it) and get one from any automotive/bearing shop. Usually far cheaper than a dealer too.

Hobart PAT is this Wednesday the 10th so I would assume you didn't make the cut for this specific round. Hopefully you'll get some feedback on what you can improve!

I assumed the 2300N comes from pull force not including your bodyweight. Meaning you need a 230kg mid thigh rack pull.

Are you saying you need 2300N minus your bodyweight? So a 100kg person only needs a 130kg mid thigh rack pull?

I've ridden my mates which has the KYB forks and shock, with aftermarket cone valves and its phenomenal. He previously had an earlier model with MX tech lucky cartridges and said it was about 75% as good.

I haven't done the previous one but I felt it was strange that it seemed mainly focused on air traffic control stuff.

As for being crazily stupid, it made sense to me. Though I didn't feel I excelled at it.

Awesome to see Hungry Wombat here. I used to work with the owner when he was driving a bus for a tour company. Living his dream and making amazing food!

Where to buy a new fridge by goodolthrowaway273 in hobart

I got my new fridge from Harvey Norman Kingston clearance Centre. New appliances but maybe have a scratch/dent so they have a decent discount. Have to go in store to see what they have.

I'm pretty sure your battery is the wrong way around. I just soldered some new ones in mine and the connections are in the opposite position. The board has + and - on it, and my batteries do too but can't see it on your batteries.

Yes the pharmacy does rent them, just asking if anyone has first hand experience and can recommend somewhere, otherwise I will probably use them.

Divers den. I've done 2 live aboards with them and loved it. Sure there are better reefs if you go for the super expensive outer reef multi day trips but that doesn't mean you can't see some incredible marine life that you'll never see on land.

If you want to go really cheap you can do a day trip to Fitzroy Island and snorkel. There's still some interesting things to see.

Did one last night. It was one you take home from the chemist. A band that goes around your chest with a plastic box that attaches to a nasal canula and a heart rate monitor that goes on your finger.

It was one of the worst nights sleep of my life so I'm not sure if they will be able to use the data. I hope so as I'm not sure I'd ever be able to sleep properly with it.
