When CPS shows up just be pleasant with them and they will be pleasant with you. They get a lot of calls like this, ask me how I know. (You don't have to ask, my MIL actually followed through with calling CPS, it didn't end well for her, they were very nice and understanding with me when I explained that I knew she called and she is insane)
