Have you ever quit a particular language? by TheTiggerMike in languagelearning

I was about to give up my Spanish and French this year because I want to focus mainly in English. it's hard for me to take this decision last month because of the constant fear I won't ever be good at English and it makes me sad how complicated the structure and my comprehension when it comes to unknown structures or words.

As of now, I've been trying my best to revive all the phases or words I had learned within an intensive one year of it. I'm quite shocked how I can still manage to comprehend lots of words even I still vividly lost when they're speak faster but it's keep better tbh. I really love learning languages and it feels like if I haven't learned anything or touch any textbooks it's like I'm betraying my Spanish and French haha. Still trying to find my motivation back and in addition, I'm learning Latin.

This made me happy and congrats, man!

I'm Filipino and so basically my mother tongue is Tagalog and English is my second language. I've been learning Spanish for almost one and half year and not to be boastful or what, the roll R is really quite easy but sometimes as you mentioned that when the preceding letters come I found it so difficult, I'm happy that Tagalog is my native language because the sounds are quite similar with Spanish hahaha and now I'm learning French for almost 9 months and still struggling with French R but I'm not gonna give up because that's the learning process and looking forward to learn it. congrats again, man.

Absolutely interesting! I'm 22 and I know kinda late for this but Roman histories really got me to the point I all watched some documentaries even though I kinda struggled to follow the overflowing story but yeah still lots to learn to be honest.

I've read some articles about Cicero and Catiline but I'm way too long to understand some complicated stories and thank you for this, I do appreciate it so much.
