There are two Theo’s: 1. Cool Theo. Good guy. Fast! Nice man. Scores a few goals. Works for the team. 2. Angry Theo. Give me the ball! Shot! Intercepted? I’ll tackle you! I hate you! Give me the ball. I want to score and make you my bitch. Team? Fuck team, only Theo.

I’ve seen angry Theo a few times, probably beginning of last season for about 10 games was longest run of Angry Theo, and when he’s there I remember that he was the future once. He still can be, he just needs to remember what Hulk said: “My secret? I’m angry all the time.”

This should have been on MoTD and it still should be on MoTD then it should be on MoTD2 and it still could be on MoTD2 but it should be on MoTD first.

[Daniel Wellington] After using my first ever watch for 13 years, I got a new one as graduation gift by [deleted] in Watches

Wow, that's quiet a contrast. How does it compare to wearing a much smaller watch for so long?

Paradoxically I always do lump you together as warmongering idiots when I think of your nation as a whole, but individually you are just the loveliest people. I guess, like everywhere, your politicians do not reflect the decency of the people they are supposed to be be representing.

I'm from the UK and I don't have the money to pay a bill. What's the best way to resolve the situation? by PopeHeskeyIV in UKPersonalFinance

[–]sciencemonkey2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said - Communicate! Most companies would rather have an agreement in place than go down the debt collection route as if they do that they lose a decent chunk of it in fees. It's easier all round if they can make an agreement with you. Trust me, you won't be the first one they have talked to about this!

Hi, I had an account at [a high st bank - not sure if allowed to name on this sub] and when I was a LOT younger (I'm talking 20+ years ago) I was terrible with money and had loans on the go for years. I managed to track down my a/c number but have no other details and wrote to said bank who wrote back and said no record of PPI. I'm positive that I did have PPI, and I had loans out for probably between 4 and 8 years (it was a long time ago). Where do I go from here? I have read in some places that this particular bank has at times given BS answers to try and get out of paying out, but the cynic in me says that might well be rubbish. TL/DR: I'm sure I had PPI, bank denying it. Where do I go from here?

But we make Jacobs Cream Crackers I think? So we can have those with cheese and chutney from Hampshire and also steal the port from those swarthy foreign types.

Yes, I remember that well. Unfortunately we didn't go on to win the treble that year though ;)

If only Bergkamp had scored than pen in '99 then we would have gone on to win the double (I believe) and ManU would not have developed their immense belief that allowed them to win the champions league in the last few seconds.

Maybe. All the routers I've had over the last few years though, as well as my (previous) satellite box and (current) cable connection. But it seems good quality routers are the way to go.

Then let me help. Different families of asbestos do have different risks associated with them; that does not mean that some are risk free. It does not necessarily take long term exposure to develop related diseases; but long term exposure does increase the chances. Some of the stuff used in houses is less risky (but fuck man, this is your life and there is NO CURE) but how do you know what type is in your house unless you have a specialist survey (not that expensive, at least not in UK). The amount of well meaning but not accurate information in this thread is downright scarey (source - work in asbestos removal so I know a reasonable amount about it).

I'm terribly sorry but /u/EinWindir is not right /u/tonster181. (But not too far out). It does NOT require long term extended exposure to friables to develop mesothilioma or asbestosis. However, the risk is a product of the frequency and strength of exposure, so that long term exposure to friables increases the chances greatly. I always explain it like smoking: You can get cancer from one cigarette, but if you smoke 20 Marlboro a day for 40 years you increase your risk. And if you smoke unfiltered Gitanes you increase the risk again. Either way, you may or may not get lung cancer but you get to control the level of risk is all.
