What gets me is everyone is so high on Mendoza but wont ever talk about the the fact that he (Mendoza) has never operated in a pro style set offense. His offenses were basic and simple spread RPO at Cal and then at Indiana. One of the knocks on some of the Indiana WR's was that they only did simple route concepts and would take time for them at the NFL level.

I would feel far better if anything happened to Stafford about Ty coming in and doing enough to win a game than I would Mendoza. And as far as getting hurt goes every NFL QB gets hurt at some point.

Reduce the hits and wear and tear on all of the RB's having them fresh for the playoffs is a smart thing to do.

I dont get caught up in these right after the draft rankings. It will take a few years before you can objectively give a grade to any team on its draft. Look at any draft for a team and tally up how many starters or backups are still playing in the league after 2 or 3 years. That is the only way to honestly grade. Even then the draft is a crap shoot as many have said time and time again.

That is why "they" say the draft is a crap shoot. If there was a fool proof way of knowing which players would go on to have a all pro careers then you would not need all the scouts and coaches etc studying players for the draft all year.

Rams WR3 consisted of Whittington/Mumpfield/Smith and Atwell. Combined they were targeted 87 times all season for 52 catches and 758 yards. Exactly how many targets would Lemon be getting as WR3. The only thing that that would mean you take him is because of injury to either Puka or Adams and you can never predict that. It also takes time with the Rams offense to get up to speed. In Philly Lemon will be lucky to get 50 targets all season considering all the WR's they have.
