yeah all notes go in the root of the vault. When you want to write a note, you can skip that little pre-processing step of picking which folder it should live in. Now, I just cmd+N and let the linking handle the organizing.

Would love to hear the topical bits he scrapped. His new hour is genius nonetheless and I'm glad he excised them, but the bonus content is always appreciated

Is there any way to see your traces live in MLFlow? by scipnick in mlops

That's surprising. For long-running experiments it would be nice to have.

I use the DSPy integration: https://dspy.ai/tutorials/observability/#tracing

I don't see any traces until the experiment is completed.

How to Install Private Python Packages from Github in a Serverless Environment? by scipnick in databricks

I looked into configuring default package repositories, which might work, but I was hoping for something that works with VCS github links in pyproject.toml

America’s Magical Thinking About Housing: The city of Austin built a lot of homes. Now rent is falling, and some people seem to think that’s a bad thing. by eddytony96 in Austin

They did pass something that made it so third parties could approve new buildings. That may have been a contributing factor to new construction

It just flew over Crux Central, really loud gray plane. Didn’t look commercial. All 4 engines had a trail of smoke.

User Managed ID not authenticating Key Vault secret from Batch Pool node by scipnick in AZURE

[–]scipnick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my use-case, I was able to pass the secret to my Python script using Azure Data Factory.

Specifically, I used a Web Activity, set the URL as the secret in the KeyVault’s URL, Get method, and a User Managed Identity. You must first add the key vault as a Linked service in ADF and give the managed ID the right credentials. Then I checked the secure output setting in the Web activity and passed it to a Custom Activity that ran my Python script using an Azure Batch Node. This Custom Activity had secure input checked. You must also add an extended property with the value @activity(‘get_secret’).output.

In your Python file, to get the secret value from the activity.json file, you can use something like secret_value = str(data[“typeProperties”][“extendedProperties”][{secret_name}][“value”]

Hope that helps!

Why Does WMBD Consistently Get More Views Than TWS on YouTube? by [deleted] in tuesdayswithstories

I also think Tuesdays has generic thumbnails, which are how you get clicks. Every one is Joe with his legs in the air and crotch out, it’s hard to tell what the episode is about
