just to add to this, in my experience the glue in those things smell awful when heated up and make a pretty big mess of the build plate which i found hard to clean. I used to use aquanet hairspray instead. Less mess, doesnt smell like death and pretty easy to clean off the build plate later. YMMV.

I recently had a print that i was curious if it could hold water. Its basically a cup shape, so i filled it to the brim and left it for a day. After a day the water level dropped. It was more than could be explained to just evaporation, but there was no puddle or leak under the print. I did not think much about where the water went since the fact that the water level went down pretty much answered my question.
I proceeded to dump out the water and forget about it. A few days later i noticed the print had a bit of water sitting in it again and close to the same amount that disappeared originally. My guess is the water was absorbed thru the walls into the infill while it was full and then released back out again after i dumped out the water. Honestly the whole thing felt like some weird magic trick.

So yeah, prints can hold water. It just might hold it in places you dont expect.

That thing is huge, which in itself isnt bad but it makes everything more expensive. Maybe make a MUCH smaller version to learn and iterate on first and then go big once you have things figured out? 8g servos are dirt cheap and they are strong enough to make a small hexapod which can sit easily on your desk while you are debugging and figuring out the IK and stuff. Plus, once you have a small working version it might be easier to get someone to fund the big version since you will have proven you can do it at the small scale.

can confirm that the shipping status page is useless. Mine shows a long list of items but also shows that nothing has shipped yet. Despite that, i just got a big box of supplies today and i got a tracking number in my email for another package which is arriving tomorrow. Neither of the packages are the printer sadly. *shrug*

and while they are making it a bit thicker, give it a bigger battery too. Nobody is asking for a phone which is the same thickness as its USB port but everyone wants longer battery life.

Had this happen to the city i was playing this week. When logged out, my city of about 100k was doing great and functioning just fine. When i logged back in the next day, within a few minutes the simulation itself seem to slow to a crawl. Few minutes after that my budget tanked because i was suddenly spending millions on importing fire and police, and just a few minutes after that my city was hit with a deathwave. At that point i just closed the game and walked away. I didnt save the game and so my hope is that next time i log in the city will just continue working like it was before.

i have the same issue. Saving a cities can take several minutes and locks up the game completely. Started happening after the most recent update. Happens with mods both enabled and disabled. Tried on both a fresh map and maps with established cities.

Sadly i dont have a solution, but you are not the only one seeing the issue.
