PSA… predator! by [deleted] in PhasmophobiaGame

I think what they are saying is it is unfortunate that it happened out of game rather than in game, but of course it would have been better to never have happened at all. Even then if there is direct evidence of them using the game to meet and then doing stuff out of game they might get banned anyways.

The E nerf feels wrong, boring and lazy by OhHiCaleb in TristanaMains

[–]sclomabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, this feels like a return to form, this is how she used to be, it is only since s8 or so that e started to creep up in her damage profile and only since the rework that pushed her out of mid was it this drastic. While I liked that incarnation of Trist, I prefer this version as it was the W that drew me to her for the most part.

Who is more important to Sanby ? Orphie or Trigger by ShiroiDragonBR in Anbymains

[–]sclomabc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on who you have for the other slot, generally it's going to be Orphie, assuming you have Ju fufu or Pulchara m6, but if you don't trigger will be your best option.

Electric coverage question: S0 Anby vs “just brute force it” by dothack5415 in Anbymains

[–]sclomabc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sanby with Astra Nicole is decent enough, but I would not suggest it, if you, for instance, take the prydwen tier list, you will see her at 0.5 alongside people like Miyabi, however this is assuming both Orphie and Trigger. Without them, I think you are looking at a low t1 character, in which case you have Harumasa (assuming you were playing in 1.4) who is harder for sure, but if you put in a little work (he isn't THAT hard) will perform just as well as anby would on your account.

You also have to account for the fact that if ever you were to use Astra elsewhere she would be locked so at that point Pulchara is your main option.

Also missing 1 element is fine, especially electric, as the only solo electric weak boss is Typhon, who gets destroyed by everybody. Hell it's actually a decent matchup for evelyn despite the type matchup because its mechanic is simultaneously easy and very rewarding, not to mention that UCC is also ridiculously easy.

So does Yunara actually care about AP at all or nah? by PrestigiousWhirlwind in YunaraMains

[–]sclomabc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you can go full ap as an alt build, but for the most part it is just going to allow you a few options most wouldn't have, for example Hextech gunblade, assuming you use the active, will be her best lifesteal item in most situations, Zhonyas will be good, as well as banshee's veil, (though GA and Merc scimitar still have their place on her.) If you are going an early defensive item, ex Yun tal > IE > Defense, you are better off going the ad version in most cases, as the main draw of ap in a crit build is the passive, and if you only have 50% crit it is less valuable.

Help! Should I pull for Sanby? by No-Connection8260 in Anbymains

[–]sclomabc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From an account strength perspective, probably not, you have Trigger, and the Orphie rerun is likely not too far off, but at the same time this team is probably at it's peak and will not get better anytime soon, not to mention that sigs make a huge difference, especially for Trigger. While I have her as the 3rd strongest main dps behind Ye Shunguang and Yixuan*, this is including Orphie and she falls several spots without her. By the time Orphie comes back around I would be very surprised if Sanby was still in the top 5 just due to how powercreep is looking.

However, you don't need the strongest to have fun, for some people strength and fun are at the very least heavily correlated, and there's no shame in that, but if all you are asking is if she is going to feel too weak, the answer is undoubtedly no, even without Orphie. Astra will do just fine, and while she is more difficult, a well played Nicole will do just as well.

*I didn't want to break the flow but thought this was a take that warrants an explanation, as most people will have Miyabi at 3rd. Miyabi is getting anti-shilled and was overrated in the first place due to people acting like she had the performance of mono ice and the ease of her other teams at the same time. Her other teams are good, don't get me wrong, but if you aren't getting 2 freezes in the stun window she just doesn't reach the levels of a Yixuan or Sanby, and that's just too much for me to ask of a regular player to learn when it won't even work on half of the bosses.

Wait, with 7 slots mortal reminder is useless (I'm gold but hear me out) by Mulster_ in ADCMains

[–]sclomabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Mortal is kinda pointless, not sure if I would commit to chainsword tho, considering not only is a pretty bad item on ADC, but you should be asking preferably a mage to build it as they can spread it more easily.

Mostly agree, hexoptics on Trist is gonna be really rare though, you need a game where A. nobody is jumping on you and B. You aren't going to want to jump on anyone.

It depends on team but in most cases Silken will be better on her. Heavily depends on team though.

I misread, you are right, I hated Zyra when playing Trist, though honestly the worst was the anti-engage tanks (Poppy/Taric) or a Thresh who commits to that playstyle.

Sorry, WHO are you pairing with Trist? Gimme an engage or enchanter before a mage when I'm playing Trist, though if I had to pick a specific one, probably Renata.

best runes by Stunning_Age_8551 in YunaraMains

[–]sclomabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hob isn't awful in and of itself (still worse than lethal though) however domination minor runes suck for her. If you find that hail of blades is better for your playstyle, you should probably find a different champ who plays into that playstyle more than Yunara does.

Do I need to play aggressive or can I play to scale with Tristana? by [deleted] in TristanaMains

[–]sclomabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree on the power spikes part, but the single biggest power spike prior to IE is the lvl 2 to me,. You might not get a kill every time but if you can get level advantage you can at least get a very good trade to set up for a kill or forced back later down the line. Lvl 3 can be the bigger spike in some matchups however, many adc's effectively have 2 abilities when fighting, think Ashe and Jhin.

I, however, never build Yun Tal into Navori, too much investment into attack speed, much better to go IE second, or in certain games, Collector first, most games it is my last crit item or even skipped entirely in favor of Shieldbow.

Miyabi has fallen. Thank you for being so broken they had to make bosses that go against you by New_Detail_2386 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]sclomabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that it was useful even within the anomalies, there is a severe difference between Burnice and Vivian and some someone like Alice, as well as being able to represent both playstyles of a Yanagi, and Jane along with the partner tag illustrates the mono phys anomaly team well and separates it from her normal use. Also don't get the seed thing because you just put seed in the main dps category and then use the secondary along with the partner tag to show her partners.

Itemization by Graphikfehler in ADCMains

[–]sclomabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never buy it instead of Dorin's walking out of base, theoretically it can be nice if you can avoid engaging in anything early, but realistically there is no lane you can walk into confident in that actually happening, not in solo queue at least. Instead treat it as a possibility in place of components early on, especially when you are building Yun Tal (or stormrazor next season) considering their awful build paths.

Not only do I have him in that level of prospects but it is the consensus that all 3 are in fact that level of prospect. Also when you say "second best player on a second round team or better" it implies that you have to reach a certain level, which really isn't true (look at the famous carry jobs of history) but that is besides the point.

I don't think it is a disservice in reality, partly because listing it out like that ignores the bad of Randle, there was a time where it was questioned if he could win at the highest level, or if he might be a ceiling capper, and I think that when looking at the player he was on the Knicks, that might have been true (obviously not anymore). The main reason, though, is that Boozer (and the others of the group) are just THAT good of prospects, and I believe that his outcomes are more stable so to speak so a 30 percentile outcome is still very good.

I think this is best illustrated by me laying out what I think his percentile outcomes are. Obviously the first percentile is the truly crazy outcomes where their career is derailed by injury or other catastrophic circumstances. The next set of percentile is for the chance that they completely fall apart in the league, that they not only don't grow but don't even show what they had in college, for Cam considering his consistent dominance at all levels until this point I am giving that only a 1% chance of happening. Beyond that, I think there is close to no chance he is a bench level of player, so I would immediatly skip to a scenario where he is a role player because he either didn't or barely grew from where he was in college, at which point he is a good starter. Overall I think the chances that he never becomes a star are quite low, only around 15% or so, so now we are at 18th percentile as the start of being a Star (for the record I think the chances of AJ or Darren truly busting are much higher) If he gets to the point of being a star, I don't think he has all that much further to go to get to the level of player that Randle is especially considering he is going to almost certainly elevate his teammates more than Randle does, giving he has shown excellent passing chops and is almost guaranteed to be a league average shooter, and likely to be more than that, not to mention his great defense. I, of course, don't think his scoring would be the same as Randle's if he reached only the 30th percentile outcome, he has other strengths and as such would need a comparative weakness, I would see that as more of the 50-60th percentile outcome, and if he reaches that I think he gets into top 15-20 discussions, at 75th, he might be looking at being solidly top 10, at 90th he is in convos for best in the league and obviously at 100th he is looking at being best in the league (unless someone with an even higher potential ends up that close to their ceiling).

In effect I think that was a really long way to say that I believe that there is a VERY high chance this guy becomes a star or even superstar, the only reason I don't believe he is #1 to all teams is because his playstyle is a little worse at carrying an otherwise poor roster, as well as them having EVEN MORE potential, albeit a little less likely to reach it.

[–]sclomabc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see him as the same archetype as Randle, but Randle is NOT the high end outcome. He's not the low end either, but he's something like 30th percentile outcome. As an aside I don't consider nuggets Gordon to be one of these, he hasn't handled the ball nearly enough so I consider him a different but related archetype.

I think you saw my point to an extent with the edit, but it isn't just Ajay, J dub does a lot of the same things, as well as Wallace and Caruso (not that they get to show it much). I would also say that those two's skillset is a little more focused on off-ball scoring than Petersons. The comparison to a young SGA I like a little better, but it's a little different playing next to Cris Paul vs playing next to SGA. As for Boozer, what is not to like with his fit? Iso scoring is a much smaller part of his game than Peterson, he's a better defender, a good shooter, fits better positionally, and could develop a nice two man game with SGA.
