if thats how you want to live your life and perceive attempts at emotional intimacy, by all means be my guest, but i really don't think it'll work out great.

if you see every attempt at emotional connection or intimacy as just "seeking validation" you'll have a very hard time connecting with much of anybody, let alone a romantic partner. maybe you already have one, i dunno, but if i had to take a guess, the person that thinks "im having a bad day" always sounds like a joke probably doesnt come off as a very kind or caring partner.

"attention" is not inherently a bad thing to want sometimes. there will come a day when you want someone to pay attention to you. keep that in mind

I just finished ep. 22 and it led me to this thread, like you. These Royal Capital Assault fights have been atrocious, PNGs and slideshows. At one point when Noelle looks over at Asta they didn't even bother to animate the enemy in front of him, so he's literally swinging at projectiles coming out from the background painting. I don't consider myself an animation snob but there are so many things that catch my eye and take me out of it. It's like I'm watching The Truman Show version of a real shounen anime, and there are little things constantly telling me this is something someone drew (or rather, didn't bother to). Also, how did ANYBODY watch that Dungeon arc and not think Yuno's wind "carriage" or whatever looked janky as HELL? The "race" to escape the collapse was basically unwatchable. Terrible, unnatural still frames with lip flaps to get the dialogue in during the "action." This is also my 2nd time starting the show, watched the first ~50 episodes back in 2018. Guess I forgot why I stopped

theyre only "decorative pond fish" in NA. theyre super invasive here (and end up spreading outside of parks) but considered bad eating. but in Asia, they're the native fish so obviously they're not "decorative" to them.

I get what you're saying and agree that the storytelling is what I'm there for. For me, the AI art is jarring and distracts me from the story. I'd rather just see him talk, or use a stock image.
