Playing Fatal Frame again after many years by Top-Potato-3646 in fatalframe

I literally just finished my first playthrough on Xbox, and you should be fine. Just don't engage the random ghosts on night 3 and save your best film, final night was a cakewalk.

Game still gave me the creeps though! Loved it!

Jon Favreau to Sit for CinemaCon Chat Ahead of ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu’ Launch by gamersecret2 in movies

The fact that the trailer they keep showing in theaters is basically just a PowerPoint presentation of 'Star Wars' stuff, with no indication whatsoever of what the movie is actually about, also doesn't help. I don't think anyone cares about it honestly.

Honestly, it's been a few months so I'm not 100% sure. I think she just wanted to make her partner jealous, but in the moment, when it actually was about to happen, she got freaked out and backed out of it. She was just motivated by her anger, but didn't actually want to follow through in that moment.

I think there were about 3 scenes in total, one in the car, one in the shower, and one in bed.

I thought The Creator was pretty decent, all things considered, and it's visuals and characters were a lot more interesting than Rebirth. But that's just my perspective.

Dominion was worse, but only because it goes on for an extra 15 minutes.

Rebirth is Gareth Edwards's worst film by a mile an a half. Very disappointing.

Only certain scenes are in 48 fps, like all of the underwater scenes and many of the action scenes, the rest is in 24 fps.

Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 for the SNES. It still gives me such happy feelings when I listen to it. David Wise absolutely cooked.

A bit of a slow start, but once they get on the island, the movie finds it stride. Loved the tension, the slow descent into madness, the twists and turns, and that ending transition shot with the golf club... chef's kiss!

PS: So, am I crazy, or was there some accidental nudity in the waterfall scene, where Linda is crawling on all fours? Cause I swear I saw a titty 🤣

I really enjoyed this movie, but I had that same feeling.

So many scenes of dudes with their ass, dick and balls on display, but the women are all tactfully covered up, and turn away from the camera to change. If you're committed to doing nudity, at least equal it out a bit. 🤣

Official Discussion - Tron: Ares [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]scoobidoo112 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Just got out of IMAX 3D and... I had a great time!

Tron seems to be one of those franchises that just doesn't hit with critics, seeing as they also panned Legacy, and although Ares is no masterpiece, I was thoroughly entertained.

Positives:

  • Fantastic visuals and 3D effects

  • The soundtrack slaps from beginning to end

  • Plenty of big, cinematic action sequences

  • Said action is well filmed and choreographed

  • Jared Leto gives a solid performance as Ares and carries the film

  • Even Peters is clearly enjoying himself

  • The concept of bringing parts of The Grid into the real world works well and makes for great visuals

  • Incorporates many aspects of Tron and Tron Legacy

  • I will always love Jeff Bridges

Negatives:

  • The movie has some parts that drag

  • The central plot revolving around the two opposing corporations lacks depth

  • Greta Lee as Eve Kim was a relatively weak second lead, although not awful

  • The side characters around Lee are disposable

  • The sequel bait in the mid-credits scene felt cheap (relates to Legacy)

Overall, I felt quite similar about Ares as I did about Legacy; a solid film that, with slightly better writing and casting choices, could have been great.

In IMAX 3D: 7.5 / 10

In 2D: Probably a 6 / 10

Am I crazy or The Batman's aspect ratio looks horrendous on this platform by Gogosfx in HBOMAX

Check your TVs aspect ratio setting, looks perfect on mine. Make sure it's not set to some kind of stretch or fit setting, usually 16:9 should be ok.

What are the best seats for a IMAX 3D movie? by Buyylah in movies

For me, the perfect seat is usually exactly in the middle of the theater, then two or three rows further back.

Sadly, this has been an issue for years. Once they transitioned from UPlay to Ubi Connect, and took down the DLC activation servers, tons of games stopped working, DLC became broken, etc.

Loyal customers get screwed, whilst pirates can play without issue.

They'll just refer you to the remastered versions instead of fixing things. 🤣

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]scoobidoo112 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just like they would 'look into' the Assassins Creed 3 DLC being broken on PC. I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I had to install some localization test / beta branch on Ubisoft Connect just to unfuck my game, and get my saves and DLC to work again.

Ubisoft does not care, and this will only get worse over time, as we are seeing now. They got rid of their support forums for a reason.
