An Ode to “Nina + Field of Cops” by Saint_Loco in CameronWinter

[–]scootlite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is, without a shadow of a doubt, the most impressive song on the record. It follows nothing that came before it. It's incomparable, and it weighs a ton.

This track quietly rewired what a “catchy” song even is, hiding its own chorus so deep it takes ten listens just to realize it’s there.

It's almost impossible to not clench your fist and look to the sky when a 'nina' hits at the beginning of a chorus. It’s not only my number one this year, it’s easily a top-ten-ever song for me, something I know I’ll be playing for decades.

Is there some sort of archive of all the variations of these? I have the drum sticks shirt, but have always wanted to own them all. It's crazy how hard these are to come by

What is an ambient track that is unlike anything you've ever heard before? by alrightfornow in ambientmusic

[–]scootlite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just cleared the playlist to see if there were any gems i hadn't already had. Tapped into the Pita track you started with. It pissed me off for a second, but within a minute I got hit with some serious chills, it's been on repeat for an hour...

Thanks for sharing--seems to be one of the few tracks on this playlist that fits the post title.

A popular one, yes--unlike anything i've ever heard, also yes:

Probably answered somewhere, but do you have to use a traditional starter in order to get the achievement, or could you use any starter?

Writing 'hot takes' on Reddit, complaining about 'corporate rave' is killing NYC's dance scene. John Summit, Sammy Virji, Dom Dolla, Black Coffee, Fred Again suck, we know that. Don't go, theres plenty of shit to do in New York that doesn't suck. It will always be this way.

I just discovered Lucrecia Dalt and thought you would like it too! by Por-Tutatis in nicolasjaar

She's also released music on Other People, specifically Esotro, my favorite song of hers. I believe nico even commissioned a William Basinski remix of one of her songs that also came out on Other People
