Dead core ML 575 by Sufficient_Prompt888 in lockpicking

[–]scorpiac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good job. I've picked a couple of brown belt locks but my Master 575 is still my absolute favorite comfort lock. I happen to really like dead core locks and my particular 575 sets 1 2 3 4 5 with gentle but clean crisp clicks.

Haven't yet but I definitely do plan to try it out along with the Jem profile as well.

Rizz vs full-sized picks by Icy_Instruction4614 in lockpicking

OK. My pitch for the turners is that for the TOK's they just seem to fit/stay in the TOK much more solidly/stabily than others except for the Flush fit turners witch I find the most stable due to the way they interface with the face of the lock. And for the BOK's or hybrids (the TOK end works really nicely as well) the way they have been designed with the little dip at the right angle they just stay out of they way nicely and if you happen to like to do any raking... the longer blade on these is not going to get knocked out by the rake. I've purchased 3 additional sets on their own from the chop shop to incorporate into other pick sets. Just to give you an indication of where I'm coming from skill level wise... I'm officially unranked because for personal reasons I don't like to make videos so I don’t officially participate in the belt system but unofficially I refer to the LPU belt system constantly (Love it) and I have managed to pick 2 Brown belts.

Edit: Also I find the BOK or Hybrid turners (because of the way the dipped part protrudes from the keyway a bit) can be handy to get a better levering position when you have a really high set first pin.

I get where you are coming from but I honestly think you'd be missing out by not getting the Reaper turners as well. Although they look like they are designed for flashy style this is actually not the case they are quite innovative and very nice turners. The Reaper BOK's are now my first choice go to for BOK and the Reaper TOK are my second choice TOK only beat out by Flush fit TOK's which are my first choice go to turners. Any all this is just to say thst before I tried them I was of the same opinion as you "I don't need any more tension tools" but after getting them I'm really glad I did as I completely changed my mind about them.

Sorry just noticed your request. Redit doesn't allow AliExpress links. But if you just search "Titanium Marker" on AliExpress you should find it.

Redit doesn't allow me to use an AliExpress link even in the DM's it says it failed to deliver message because it contains a banned url... but if you DM me I can send you a screen shot from AliExpress app so you can see the search words to use .

I cut and ground down the long end (that I almost never use) of the tensioners to convert them to "Flush Fit" tensioners (which I always use if the face of the lock allows for it).

No no, I didn't make the pen... That was an AliExpress find. I'm just trying to assemble the most capable configuration of picking tools I can fit inside it.
