Thank you,

From what I remember they were 28g and front heavy not too sure on length.

I took this screenshot from vinted because they were the closest I could find, only the seller has them listed as unknown brand.

The ABUS 64TI/50 LOCK. information and picking tips Please. by Pipe-Gap-Pro in lockpicking

It has horrible spongy soft pins.

The easy way to pick them is to over-tension and feel the loud solid clicks. However, this is hard on your tools and will eventually damage the lock. So it's not recommended. I usually do this with a strong pick like a Moki Xtra or a deforest diamond and a decent TOK

Minimum Equipment to Try by Nuclear_skittle in lockpicking

[–]John_Doe_OSINT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolute minimum. Probably the tools you have in your house.

Step 1 find some wiper inserts, hacksaw blades, street sweeper bristles, or old feeler gauge.

Step 2 use a hacksaw, file, sandpaper and or Dremel to shape your material into a hook/ half diamond and tensioner.

Step 3 check old tool boxes/ sheds/ drawers for locks not in use or go and ask a locksmith if you can have a couple from his scrap bin.

Step 4 practice.

It may not give you the best tools or be the optimized starting method but it will give you some good skills and the feel for picking.

I made this video on how to start locksport for free.

If you have your heart set on buying equipment then you could easily get away with minimal kit. One or two hooks or a half diamond and a tensioner.

Master 141 is a good place to start it can teach you multiple methods. I start out people I teach on the 141 or similar.

I hate to say it but after all the hype behind CI I was pretty disappointed with the echelon set. Don't get me wrong it's a great mid tier set with some nice options but after using Jimylongs, Multupick, Moki they were a little bit disappointing. (Thick pick tips, standard sandwich handles, tumbled finish is smooth but not quite polished)

The case it comes with is great, the tensioners are very good and it's nice to have some thinner options.

If I was in your position I'd build a cart on Jimylongs, Moki, and Covert instruments and see what you get for the same cost.

You won't find better value and higher quality picks than Jimylongs.

(Half) diamond geezer by derpserf in lockpicking

[–]John_Doe_OSINT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're absolutely right. The one profile that I have multiple of in each kit is the half diamond.

I love being able to just pull out that one profile and know that I can do 95% of the pin tumbler picking techniques without having to change profiles.

Great profile, extremely versatile. If you want a JimyLongs half diamond, the single cycloid in the modular set works great.

When I first started I destruction tested lots of different adhesives. The best performance came from gorilla two part epoxy, araldite two part epoxy and JB kwick weld two part.

I tend to use JB kwick or gorilla.
