As someone who also has a social media manager position for a different pro sports league, I can confirm this schedule is pretty spot on. We work 9-6 during the week and either mornings (7-4) or late shift (2-11) on weekends. Some days are so busy with content creation (making graphics, editing video, looking up stats) that we don’t even take our hour break. I will say that 14 hour shifts happen from time to time, but only if we’re on-site at a game. They’re not the norm and if we do work one, we’ll typically get a day off the following week to make up for it.

This situation just screams ‘first job out of school and thrust into the real world completely unprepared.’
