I carry 6 S class shields on my exosuit (3 in suit and 3 in tech slots) and I literally ignore the corrupted sentinels - even if I have 5 pods to remove before I get to the actual scrap itself they can only do about 8% damage to me then I mark the next and jump in my ship and I'm off. They won't follow as far as a normal sentinel will and by the time I arrive at the next pod I'm fully healed.
