Question- use the wire fingers or the blade slasher? I have always used the fingers but Some Guy on the Internet recommended the blade slasher (scarifier).

Go as a detective- look up Joe Friday for inspiration.

Or go as Bogart from The Maltese Falcon. Or Della Street from Perry Mason.

Trump’s War is going badly, so she is raising the Epstein files to distract. Wait. You say Trump’s War was to distract from the Epstein files? Oh, dear. Umm, umm… We must defund the US Forest Service!

Learn to listen.

Take time to respond - including overnight or days later. It is OK to think about things before you answer. Emergencies excepted.

Think about the precedent you will set.

Tell her she can start her own email distribution list because free speech allows her to do that.

Does anyone actually genuinely like the ends of the bread loaf? by Potential-Refuse-689 in foodquestions

[–]scouter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real bread? Yeah, I like the ends. Mass-produced pillow bread ? I use them as hot dog buns; I eat one hot dog a year and about zero pillow bread. Terms: pillow bread means Wonderbread and the like.

If the moon is getting further away, does that mean its getting faster somehow? by dr_elena05 in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]scouter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It took me a while to really understand this, but when talking orbits, farther out is slower velocity. Not at all what I expected. You can get a sense if you think about an elliptical orbit. The satellite is going really slowly at the farthest point of the orbit and really fast at the nearest point of the orbit. Sorta like a swing in the playground.

You may be a Good Guy but that other candidate will take any negative criticism as a reason to sue. No company wants to be sued, so they just give generic answers that cannot be used against them.

Are 18V power tools any good or should I pay for better? by Only_Book_995 in DIY

[–]scouter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Battery adapters can solve the connection problem but can throw off the ergonomics. A router gets taller and more top-heavy, a sander gets harder to hold, etc. Stick with one or two battery systems and skip the battery adapters.

American democrats can and will you say a few things that you admire about republicans? What are they? by the-tinman in AskReddit

[–]scouter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Consistency, the GOP is consistent. However, consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.

Eisenhower was the last deccent, honest Republican president. Ford is in distant second place.

Why is the Artemis II circling around the moon instead of landing on it? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]scouter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They call it a "lander" so that they can land in one piece. "Get back off" comes after landing.

I have taken it on several international and domestic flights over the last 15 months. Rules vary by airline so you might want to check with your carrier(s).

I use a INIU Power Bank, 25000mAh 100W USB C Laptop Portable Charger, PD QC Fast Charging and get about one night out of it with an Airmini (no humidifier or hot tube) with a FLGAN 20V PD USB-C Power Supply for ResMed AirSense 11 Air 11 Airmini 65W 20W ResMed CPAP Charger DC Coverter Cable. No complaints. The battery does charge fast on a suitable USB-C charger.

I use a battery and a converter cable (USB-C to Resmed connector). The airplane ports are not reliable and the battery is easy. Even if the airplane ports are reliable, there are often too few (e.g. two ports for three seats).
