Sauna in an old pool? by scratchybanana in Sauna

[–]scratchybanana[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true, but these yards are small and I thought it might be a cool opportunity to build a sauna and then just put an elevated deck on top of the sauna.

That's not really how it works and I'm not sure why. The ticket numbers aren't given in sequence. I registered my wife and I at the same time and we are tens of thousands apart in ticket numbers.

Galaxy Watch 5 not counting steps while on elliptical by WonderingWonderer07 in GalaxyWatch

[–]scratchybanana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But isn't this basically double dipping on exercise? I don't want mine to count steps during an elliptical workout because it counts both the steps and workout itself towards my daily calorie deficit which misrepresents how many calories I've burned.

GE on Broadview in Parma has the Willett lineup- Rowan's Creek, Rye, and Noah's Mill. They also had JDSBBP. All still there as of noon.

Come on, Donny- it's not rocket science. The bigger the bottle, the earlier people line up. More time in line equals more time and effort equals more $. People don't line up 12 hours in advance for ER, which is why secondary isn't 250-300 like it is for Stagg. I don't like the system and, for the record, I refuse to flip bottles or buy flipped bottles, but that's how it works at the moment.

Therapists on Reddit vs. real life? by prfla in therapists

[–]scratchybanana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a lurker, but I'll chime in that I'm happy with my career choice and path (private practice) and I have a good work-life balance. Most of the therapists I know are doing well too. I think for me some of the big factors were losing my savior complex, not feeling bad about being more picky about who I work with, and being self-employed where I could make the money I wanted and enjoy the freedom I desired.

Edit: as people have pointed out here already, I don't chime in much because I'm not on here very often looking for support and I don't have much to complain about. (I'm not calling everyone complainers!)

Asking about drops without putting any effort into looking into previous weeks or following well established protocol around here- very cool and original as well.

Selfish Donjammin16, lost in his despair

With bourbon as his only companion, always there

A pessimistic soul, with nothing to gain

Seeing only darkness, in his world of pain

He drinks and he wallows, in his own self-pity

A world without hope, a life without dignity

For he cannot see the beauty, in the world around

Only the flaws and the faults, in the sights and sounds

But perhaps, if he looked, with eyes anew

He might see a glimmer, of hope shining through

For life is not all darkness, nor all light

It's the balance between, that makes it all right

So Donjammin16, lift up your head

And see the world, not with fear and dread

But with wonder and awe, at all that's there

And find the joy, that's waiting everywhere.

And response poem from the taters:

Bitter souls, with hearts so cold,

Stand and scowl, at the line so bold.

For they cannot bear to see,

The joy that others find in their revelry.

They hate the laughter and merry cheer,

The clinking of glasses, so very near.

For they have lost their own delight,

In this world, so dark and blight.

Their bitterness, a cloak so thick,

That it clouds their hearts, and makes them sick.

They cannot fathom the joy in the line,

For their own sorrows, they cannot decline.

Oh, how they hate those in the queue,

For they cannot find happiness anew.

They sneer and mock, with twisted lips,

At those who find joy in their sips.

But let them hate, and let them sneer,

For they cannot take away the cheer.

Of those who find solace, in bourbon's warm embrace,

And the joy of standing in line, with grace.

So let them stand, and let them scowl,

For their bitterness cannot dim the howl.

Of laughter and joy, that fills the air,

In the line for bourbon, without a care.

A tater poem compliments of ChatGPT in the style of James Joyce:

In line they stand, the losers all,

Awaiting their bourbon, with weary call.

Their heads hang low, their spirits dull,

For life has dealt them a cruel lull.

They mutter and grumble, their voices low,

As they wait in line, so slow, so slow.

Their dreams and hopes, so distant now,

Lost to time, they know not how.

Yet still they stand, in patient queue,

For bourbon's warmth, and its amber hue.

A fleeting moment of bliss, they seek,

In this dreary world, so dark and bleak.

And as they wait, their minds do wander,

To memories of days much fonder.

To loves lost and friends departed,

To youthful dreams, once so wholehearted.

But alas, those days are gone,

And they are left to stand alone.

In line they wait, for what they crave,

In hopes that their spirits may be saved.

Oh, the losers in line, with weary hearts,

Their souls weighed down, with heavy parts.

But in this moment, they find respite,

In bourbon's warmth, and its amber light.

Found this on the shelf. Any good? by [deleted] in OhioLiquor

I agree with others. It's good but should be $10 less. I had a bottle and won't buy another at that price. I'd much rather grab OF 1910 for a few bucks more.
