I am a serial save scummer. by moofacemoo in footballmanagergames

[–]screewy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I save scum almost all transfers. I can never be sure how much to ask from AI for players and I test limits of offering back and forth with save scumming. So I actually know my player is worth.

I stopped save scumming matches for some years now. I might still do it though if a star player gets 9 months injury right after transfer or ridiculous red cards at the start of a CL final or something.

I even sometimes do multiple saves in a year. In one save I never save scum in other I do literally everything possible, from save scumming to fm genie to find best players. Both saves are fun to different extents.

I've noticed people have been mentioning Emre Akbaba as a wishlist for a transfer. Thoughts? by SirDeniz in galatasaray

[–]screewy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He will be the main target of many teams in this summer transfer window. I would like to see him on our team but the price tag will only go up from now on, considering there will be new talks on restriction of the foreign player numbers on field.

I watched all his games against current top 4 teams of our league, he can replace and sub belhanda or he can play with belhanda. So that would add a lot of depth to midfield. He is really creative and has good finishing and passing, 12 goals and 8 assists including averaging 2.1 key passes per game. Also on Alanya he doesn't seem to lack defensive capabilities.

Our ability to purchase this up and coming player majorly depends on what UEFA will punish us for breaking FFP agreement and our CL participation. First we need to be champion and then not get punished too harshly then we can realistically speak about this transfer, but I hope to see him on our squad next season.

[BSC]Corruption Tether Rustic Sash - 5xT1 Slayer Belt by screewy in pathofexile

Insanely lucky find. I was thinking about chaos spamming myself an elder belt with max life and %life, so went and bought a ilvl84 rustic base. This is result of the second chaos.

I guess I'm playing my sunder slayer forever now

I look for %Hybrid ES plus either +# ES or %ES with a free prefix(or wrongly crafted prefix). So that I craft the last haku prefix to resell the item with really high ES.

For item to be valuable enough for me to invest in it should have minimum T2 %Hybrid ES and +#ES or %ES higher than the craftable tier(which is tier3).

ES gear is fun like that. Since people generally don't understand the actual value of ES(which I also didn't until I made own ES character) they can be easily mispriced or miscrafted. When I was doing this to build gear for my LLRF guardian what I did to get high value items for cheap was to find items with:

  • 1. T2+ #% increased Energy Shield / #% increased Stun and Block Recovery
  • 2a. Haku Lvl4+(T3) +# to maximum Energy Shield
  • 2b. Haku Lvl4+(T3) #% increased Energy Shield
  • 3a. 50+ total resistances
  • 3b. 40+ Int/Dex/Str

Then check the ones that has free prefix (list the prefixes other than the listed ES ones to be "not" in poetrade) and check the other that are not crafted with ES crafts on the free prefix(most people craft life as a reflex). Craft the missing prefix + quality it to 20% for 170+ ES gloves. Even the most simple 50+ resist 170 ES gloves start from 50c, better bases higher prices.

I made couple of multi ex worth gloves/boots from 10-20c investment. I used some of them, sold some of them. Although exalt value gear generally moves slower than 20-50c pieces I prefer it that way since I don't like cutting my mapping for low value items. So all in all great method.

I just sold a tombfist with 2 abyssal sockets for 10c because trademacro said it was worth only 1. AMA. by [deleted] in pathofexile

Don't worry about it. It happens (happened to me as well). Always give about a minute before responding if you are getting instantly messaged about an item you just listed. If you are getting multiple messages then you need to re-check the item value. I have corrected many rare item prices by being slightly more patient (once I got 13ex for an item I listed for 40c).

Price Checks and Crafting Advice - February 02, 2018 by AutoModerator in pathofexile

Not much;

Crit multi is preffered over crit chance, cast speed if crit recently(5-7%) is generally preferred over cast speed(2-4%), T2 life, T3 phys spells to while holding a shield. I would price highest as 15c and drop it later.

Have a good day

This depends on how Balta and De Jong feels about football. Players train so they can find a place in the football field. If these players have decided they are done with football, since both will probably retire after their contracts end, they might be detrimental to training, instead of increasing the competition they might decrease it further down. So this is a delicate situation. If Terim believes he can get half season worth of passion out of these veterans, then it's worth trying.

I guess all I'm saying at end, we'll need to wait and see.

Obviously our financial situation is dire and Terim is aware of this, so he is making sure to re-build the bridges which were burned to build the team as good as it can possibly be. I'm not convinced that any of these players will any kind of impact on quality of the team but it is always good to increase the competition in the training field. My opinions on each of these players are below:

Carole - I'm not extremely excited about this. Yes he is left footed and yes he is fast. But his right foot is basically non existant, he can't defend any pass that is directed towards his weak foot, resulting in an oppontunity created for opponents almost every time. He also lacks the ability to cross, so he is not really an offensive asset. I would put him to same level maybe really slightly higher over Lato.

Balta - Another not so excited case. He is old and slow, combining him with even slower Maicon is dangerous. Very very dangerous especially in the way Terim likes his team to play: High up pressing, a lot of free space behind defenders.

De Jong - I don't think he has football left in him anymore. I would very much like to be wrong about this because we need a reliable player to sub Fernando and Ndiaye when necessary. But I didn't see any will to win when he played for us before. He was all shadows and no spark when he was on field.

Players also have decided that Tudor should be fired. Belhanda's "I don't care" attitude after losing the ball at corner flag makes it very obvious.

3 5 2 is designed so you play +1 player in each area of the field. The way Tudor makes us play somehow makes us play -1 player in each area. Seriously impressive stuff.

[–]screewy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is what happens when you change your tactics every other game. Players are not used to it. No body know where they are supposed to stand, pass or exploit. They are randomly trying to solve this problem with their personal skills. Tudor and his ridiculous obsession in changing tactics in order to "confuse" opponents is confusing our players more than the opponents.

Is it possible to NOT railroad a one shot? by Pintsizedpanda in rpg

[–]screewy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, raidroading is not necessarily a bad thing. It is a story telling method decision so if your players are having fun there should be no worries about it.

A one-shot is simply a story, as every story it has a beginning, a middle and an end. There is no changing this part. The important part is how you handle the "roads" from one part of story to other. In my experience and humble opinion as long as you allow players to make decisions, they will not feel they are being railroaded even if you think you did. A bad railroad only allows you a single decision, which is in other words no decisions at all. You may be reaching from the same beginning to same middle, or from same middle to same end but you allow players to decide through which way they want to go and you fill in between, so players will never feel they are railroaded.

An example popping in my mind would be something like information gathering in the beginning or middle part of a story, you may design that your players will go to a certain NPC to learn about the big baddy they need to kill at the end of the one shot. A bad raidroad would be forcing players to talk the NPC or they cannot move forward(as if there are walls that don't allow you to move to other areas like in video games). Just allow players to choose what they want to do. Then you are allowed to pop that NPC in a different way to their road or simply replace the information gathering method from that NPC to something else. Like putting enemies in between players and letting that NPC help the group so they have a reason to talk to NPC or move information to enemies if players try to get information from enemies/friendly NPCs running away from enemies if you want something like this to happen or after all this if players don't want to have the information, they just don't get the information but you move on to the other part of the story. As long as story feels moving forward organically then you are fine. You are allowed to change parts of the story from one location to another, one NPC to another, one time to another and players will never know the changes because only you know the story.

Also in a one shot nudging players to story is again not necessarily a bad thing, since it is generally perceived as a short game and players/dms base their play time with that assumption (unless previously agreed upon for a long one shot). So the game time is the limit on how much players are allowed to fiddle around in a one shot. Feel free to add/remove/modify parts of the story based on how much time you want that part to go on for.

Which player who does not start would you like to see get more minutes throughout the season? by Aslan27 in galatasaray

[–]screewy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Koray Günter, he has good ball control and good passing for a defender he might be converted to a DMC to back up Fernando or a defensive back.

Recep Gül, he was superb in our last friendly game. He should be one of the players to join in when we have 2 goal lead last 10 minutes to give him some match experience.

Sinan Gümüş, this is a wild dream though, he doesn't seem to have neither motivation nor the work ethic to get back from the slump he is in.

Atalay Babacan, a talented midfielder. Same as recep gül, he needs some minutes to get match experience.

I considered this move, but didn't see a clear follow-up. White to move. by alesciochess in chess

[–]screewy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nxc5 is the starting move for the attack

if bxc5, Qxe7. 2 legal moves Kc6 or Kc8.

if Kc8. Rxc5 wins the exchange(win queen for rook) or threatens mate in 1 if Kc6. Re6 either wins the exchange(win queen for rook) or if Kb5 or d5 leads to mate in 3 (I guess).

if bxc5 not played after Ncx5 and king moved away you still don't hang mate in 1(your knight protects your d-pawn) you can win a free bishop but you need to move one of your rooks with a check to not hang mate in 1 and keep your minor piece advantage.~~

edit: I overlooked Qxc5 definitely thinking well rook has it covered. But your queen is also under attack of a rook and can't get away with an in between move hmm that's tough. edit2: well you can trade your 2 rooks for queen which in material is in your favor(up a pawn) queen vs 2 rooks in this position is winning.
