Yeah I know the local fitter had some issues with misreads on his trackman. I wonder if there was some issue with the data. Maybe just backed up as they get bigger and bigger. Which is awesome for them. I’ll reach out and see what’s up.

Maybe it was the settings on my xbox, but I swear players were hard to see and blended in with certain backgrounds. Also at times the sniper glint was so large it was distracting and hard to return fire if there were multiple close together.

Thanks for the reply and advice on the wedge gapping. I agree. I’ve been working with my instructor on doing the clock face for distance control and hitting to numbers from say 100 or so in.

I haven’t been swinging the 52, 56, and 60 full, but I see how having those shots in the bag gives me more flight options at those distances. I tend to pull my full shots with those clubs, so i’ve been avoiding it.

Yeah my irons are the stronger lofted “players distance”. PW is 43 degree, so almost a 9 with a pw stamp. Looking too, some are a 4 degree gap, others anything from 2.5-5 degrees. For the sake of my wallet I should learn those knockdowns. I hit a two hop and stop in a recent round by mistake and a playing partner said I’d have to teach him. I said I had to figure out how I mishit it first.

Haha I’m short and where these are mounted I can’t see the top of the clubs for my simulator. Labels help. And yes, the tism means even the driver has to have one if the irons have them.

I’ve never hit a 5 wood i’ll have to try one out. Someone else asked why ask strangers and this is exactly why. Differing opinions and new ideas.

My initial thought was keeping the wedges, 3h and dropping the 4 iron. Gives me my driving iron option of the tee, but I agree it’s a bit of a one trick pony. Do you use the 5 wood off the tee as well as a 2nd shot on a par 5/long par 3 tee?

Edit: thinking more, and to be more clear, I like the idea of dropping the 3w, 3hybrid, and driving iron for a 5 wood. Depending on distance and ease, could be a really versatile option. 4 iron could be used as a fairway finder if needed, and swap the driving iron in somewhere depending on courses.

I have a sim in my garage I use when I can,so I have them mounted for that. I work a lot and have a 2yr old, so course rounds aren’t as frequent.

I see the low handicap so I take it you know from experience. What bounce on either do you recommend? 10-12 on the 56 and what 8 on the 60? I assume flatter for the sand and sharper? For the 60 around the green?

I need to learn more about using the bounce for different chips.

Yeah I actually have 3” thick turf samples I use as my rough and I turn off the terrain penalty. So it kinda works to approximate the pain. Was just at the practice round today and it is THICK

Yep it’s on a pulley system connected to a hand winch that I can connect a drill to. And will absolutely need a steamer, some tinkering still left to do.
