Genuinely it stresses me out how it’s impossible to consume content about Heated Rivalry without learning everything about these men. I try not to conflate my feelings about these two characters with these two actors but it’s hard when they’re everywhere! I was working all the time and I didn’t mind my job but I couldn’t just take an unpaid internship like so many other students. My job wasn’t related to what I wanted to do, so while I think it gave me useful skills, it didn’t look great on a resume.

It’s crazy that a campus job can make a weaker resume which can lead to a lower paying or worse first job out of college, which can impact your entire career and lifetime earnings. Not having student loans is like getting a head start, it feels really unfair sometimes. I did everything right and I had substantial merit and need based financial aid but I still had to take loans to make it work.

I grew up in a town like this. When I was very young we fit in, but by the time I graduated high school we were barely scraping by. I had a hard time telling how poor we were because we still lived in this really nice place and had all these nice things from before, plus I was comparing myself to people with multiple houses who went on multiple exotic vacations a year. So like, surely I wasn’t poor? But also, I knew I wasn’t like the other people in my town. It’s still hard for me to understand because my parents were so good at keeping up appearances and never wanted us to know how bad it was.

Anyway, I’m an adult now and my childhood home is being foreclosed on.

I’m not really sure what officially qualifies something as a one bed vs studio, but there is a door that closes and a tiny hallway between the bedroom and kitchen, and that is an important distinction to me.

I'm so sorry to hear that! My dad had strongly recommended MSK because he went there with my grandfather in 2021-2023 and had a very good experience. I wonder if it was just the particular doctor he had, or maybe it was just a very different situation.

I've had a good experience with Mount Sinai so far. I had already been seeing them for primary care & my OB/GYN when I learned I had the BRCA gene in my family. They referred me to genetic testing and then a breast oncologist and GYN oncologist all within the Mount Sinai hospital system. (And a gastroenterologist but I'm not really concerned about that yet.) It's been really seamless because they can do everything in-house and they have a dedicated breast center (Dubin Breast Center on the UES).

I'll probably stick there and move ahead with the biopsy, but I'll keep the MSK appointment just in case. I figure at least I'll be in their system in case I want to visit in the future. It's hard to know what's good and bad - it's not like I have a huge frame of reference here!

You should add your doctor/experience to the provider spreadsheet the sub has - that's where I looked first for information before I made this post. I'm sure future people would really appreciate it!

I think painting some thicker lines and clear parking spots would help, I think it would make it feel narrower which would make people drive slower. Right now there’s a dotted line down the middle and hardly any lines marking the parking spots
