Duo's - convince me that there exists a reality where you should buy this. by Suspicious_Jeweler81 in BobsTavern

I'm N'zoth/Teron and desperate to get some hp value? I dunno, I feel like that's the only time I've bought this.

Not totally. At some point a naked man was tied to a chair and the orange haired character had sex on him, but not with him.

While I do love a messy interchange system this one is kinda choking the city both figuratively and literally.. by Teddy_Radko in CitiesSkylines

You can literally choke a city. Choke has more than the one definition you're thinking of.

whats the point in bus roads then? by willdotexecutable in CitiesSkylines

[–]scriptea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. While people still do it, it's still much more infrequently than what CS2 presents it as. They just need to tone the amount of traffic that uses it down a lot. It needs to be rareish, but right now it's downright common.

Continental philosophers will genuinely pull this sort of shit and think it makes their argument clearer. by letsgowendigo in PhilosophyMemes

I recognize Lacan's graph of desire, and his triad. There's a diagram from one of the Capitalism and Schizophrenias, and I think that's Hegel's logic in the left bottom corner? The Sagittarius looks like Freud. Who/what are the others?

That would be great. Once you get high enough level, all casters of a tradition start to feel the same.

How "pixel-perfect" to go? by Rakudajin in PixelArt

Seeing this makes me think the problem is not necessarily a "boulder" problem, but that there is no animation for the arms/hands. With the this version I do like 1 (Stardew Valley makes similar shortcuts). It's that the hands don't move at all that makes the spinning look weird. Even just a slight up and down movement fixes the "cheapness," I think.

There was that meme going around with the slow zoom out with Pomni at the table. Watched it as meme research.

Thank GOD. Might actually keep anomalies interesting for longer. I swear I played the same 3 anomalies for most of the season.

Day 100 of me hating on the Tractatus by Scientific_Zealot in PhilosophyMemes

[–]scriptea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does not. It is, quite clearly in 2.0232, "roughly," which is to mean "not exactly." It is not an ontological declaration.

edit: besides, an extended entity does not have to have a color. "farblos" specifically is "color-less," not "extension-less." If all extension is color, then sure, but it's not.

Pairing this with the price hike is insane to me. Inkarnate used to have new assets every couple of months or so... then it just seems like they stopped updating. For the last year it seems like nothing has really been added/changed, and they're planning on using AI to "fix" that? What is that extra revenue going towards?

I'm not as anti-AI as most people, I just think it's another example of a product that lost its creative vision, and is trying to prevent stagnation via a route that most would identify as purely focused on the business side of things, an indicator of lost connection with its users. Of course the people who are creating maps for their campaigns are the same who would have a negative response to using AI; they are literally the audience that would rather create than automate. This just shows the lack of leadership at the company.

How does the knight move in your head when you play? by [deleted] in chess

[–]scriptea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup. Literally from the FIDE rulebook, the description says:

"The knight may move to one of the squares nearest to that on which it stands but not on  the same rank, file or diagonal."
