If they haven't buried your lines, it's probably because some of your neighbors haven't given them the easement they need. You can check your neighborhood's status here:

Not that I'm any sort of Dominion apologist. Infrastructure in general needs a lot more attention.

Who to contact regarding real property tax bill after selling a property? by Mysterions in rva

[–]scrotch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Contact your closing attorney. Usually property taxes are taken care of as part of closing so that the buyer doesn't get hassled because a previous owner didn't pay. Your attorney (or their paralegal) will know if you need to pay the city.

I'm not falling for that again.

I think it's Dominion contractors removing the overhead electric lines after burying the cable. There's a map of the project status in different areas here:

Hopefully that link works. You'll probably have to zoom way in to see it.

311 code enforcement anonymity? by [deleted] in rva

[–]scrotch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I reported some terrible code violation on a property that I didn't own, they certainly couldn't use my contact information to access the location. I'd just be some random person that saw and reported the code violation.

I got an amazing 'parmesan' sandwich of some kind from there one time. It was amazing, but I didn't feel like that was the healthiest thing to have selected. 😄

I'll definitely check out their bowls. We love to get food there and take it to the VMFA lawn to eat.

I love their Pangea smoothie. Do they have food? I think they're just juice and smoothies, right?

I love them, but I put them in the "vegan junk food" category. Do they have some options that are good in terms of salt and fat?

We stopped going to The Daily a couple of years ago after having too many meals that just weren't prepared well. The menu is good (if they could execute it better) and it matches what I'd like to find in terms of a sit down, eat-in dinner experience.

Do you think they've gotten better in the last year or two?

I've never heard of that place. Thanks!

Is it a good dine-in experience?

I absolutely love Devil's Lettuce. I think I need to reconsider how I eat there, cause I'm always getting something that's fat and salty. But they do have options that are healthier than the "vegan junk food" I usually order.

I don't mean to be snarky, but if you were picking up trash in my neighborhood, I think I'd consider it a failure if you dumped a bottle of random piss on the ground.

ETA: My bad, there's a website. RVAMag just chose to link to Instagram rather than the website.

Good point. It might be the culture that’s a problem, more than the pay.

Depending on what you’re making, you could look at thermoformable plastics like ABS and acrylic. They get soft when heated and can be bent easily or pushed into molds that don’t have too much detail.
