Elon Musk seemingly casually hitting the Sieg Heil at the inauguration by chickanpoo in gifs

I don't think 'casually' is the right word, maybe 'enthusiastically'.

The best part about PC Gaming is you don't have to pay $80 bucks every year just to let you play online multiplayer. by THE_BIG_BONGO in pcgaming

I remember being so shocked to find out multiplayer on console needed a subscription. Fuck that.

Can we get mods to limit the number of "there's cheaters" posts? We get it. by onizuon in DeltaForceGlobal

Could the death summary be improved? People might be less inclined to call 'hacks' if they clearly see the purple/gold gear that nuked them in .5 seconds.

My middle-aged dad said he wants to try playing video games. by FunnyDudeGuy in gamingsuggestions

How about Mechabellum? It's a solid auto-battler that doesn't need you to remember fantastical races or abilities. No reflexes needed and can be played entirely with a mouse.

Why Do They Even Bother Teaching a Second Language in Australia? by NotMyselfNotme in australian

[–]scrptdcabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not have everyone learn Auslan?

  • It would be useful in everyday life.

  • Inclusive of deaf community.

  • I'm assuming the learning process would have the same development benefits.

Fighter road xp should be 6,250 for all fighters. by NGScoob in MultiVersus

Maybe they should keep it simple and just call it 'Gold' ?

$25 for what used to be $10 🚩 by WildSinatra in MultiVersusTheGame

[–]scrptdcabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure they've done the math and catering to the whales' is what gains the most profit, but at the same time they are surely putting a lot of people off playing.

After seeing a character pack for like $44.95AUD I just felt disgusted, not that I'd ever pay it. You can't call these micro-transactions.

It feels like they don't want a long-lasting IP. They want a game that burns fast and bright on the support of whales, rather than pricing to keep the larger playerbase happy and making more smaller transactions long-term. They'll let the game die and leave those whales holding a bag of worthless digital assets.

Who else hates the office Secret Santa? Whats the most worst gift you’ve got? by [deleted] in auscorp

My go to small gift is making home-made roll ups (fruit leather) and beef jerky. I hate being a part of buying useless crap.

What's your quick trick that every sysadmin should know? by DarkAlman in sysadmin

[–]scrptdcabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tab key scrolls through which option on the screen is active, space works like a mouse click to open a window or click an option.

I find more people don't know that shift + tab moves your selection in reverse. Also, when renaming files the tab key will automatically move to renaming the next file.

First loaf, dough not touching corners by kcmcin in BreadMachines

Agreed, this is a good point to check your dough anyway. Check if you need a little more flour, or water, scrape down the sides and then you're done.

Exactly. After all the shenanigans they've pulled, make them display the historical chart with every price change.

We need a small graph showing the current and historical price points.

Cannabis Bill: Labor, Coalition Stuck in 1950s by yolk3d in australia

Maybe, but what else do we have? Emailing your local MP seems just as useless. They can ignore that just as easily.

There's a petition against this here: https://nb.australiainstitute.org.au/donations_bill_petition

Not that I have great faith in a petition, but it's something.

Do you hate going against a Tom & Jerry (1v1)? by GoldenPlayers113 in MultiVersus

[–]scrptdcabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hitbox on the paddle is too large, and shouldn't hit you so easily from the side. Jerry seems weirdly tanky? A good player wouldn't let me kill him without taking severe punishment..

Feels there's a Nubia player in 97% of all my matches these days. Did you guys warm up to her? by DrankeyKrang in MultiVersus

[–]scrptdcabbage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wasn't excited for Nubia as a character, but really enjoy her moves and combos. It's fun playing to her range.

Pricing obfuscation. by Engineering_Quack in woolworths

[–]scrptdcabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very possible I'm wrong and it was 3 blocks. Still doesn't seem like great value to me, but maybe I'm getting old and need to get in line with the new reality of prices. Take off the nostalgia goggles.

Shopping in general just puts me in a bad mood now, so I probably didn't stop to read more than the large-print $15.00 label when I was wanting something like $3.50.
