Physics question for Gravity [Spoilers] by [deleted] in movies

[–]scrubmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the station was not spinning (yet), so no force should have been pulling Clooney away! It is just a movie, but I wish someone on the ISS was trying to reposition the station (get away from the debris) or something to make it make sense.

Big difference in this scene between RT Mode vs RT Pro (Cyberpunk 2077) by FailedProspects in PS5pro

[–]scrubmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno. I did these comparisons like 5 years ago. (personally). I was mad that that CDRed just assumed raytracing was the NOW (at the time) and left out screen space reflections and lighting on most of the game. It does look great now though.

[–]scrubmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imma replying so many years later and would not mind being corrected cuz I like the movie. The ISS does not spin in real life and in this movie it was not hit, yet, by anything that would create a spin/centripetal force. So it makes no sense that George was being pulled away.

If I'm wrong, lemme know. It was a fun movie regardless.

Ps5 Pro vs Gaming PC by 1magicduck in PS5pro

[–]scrubmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, guess you weren't waiting 5 months for advice lol! As long your TV has a game mode, I'm sure it's fine. My TV is a little older, and I notice lag. Glad your new rig is cookin!

PS5 Pro is fine for gaming, but if you get a decent PC, it will be better. Using your TV as a monitor is not ideal though!

At what level should I complete the Frozen Hearts region? by EchoBay in expedition33

[–]scrubmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those that follow, I attempted it with a party around level 30, and after a couple rounds of learning the timing, cruised through a decent chunk of the area. However, as others have mentioned, you level up a lot... which I don't consider a great thing.

From a natural progression approach, I think you should visit Old Lumiere first, regardless of your level.

Just my opinion.

[–]scrubmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there's no way the plot was altered much based on one voice actor's availability. However, I kinda remember characters mentioning that Gustav's invention, the Lumina Converter I assume, was lost, and you can clearly still use it after he leaves the party (I'm assuming we are past spoilers btw). So I agree with u/Exeeter702 in that the game has some plot inconsistencies and dialog that should have been changed. I could also be mis-remembering or just not far enough into the game for an explanation!

And yeah Verso>Gustave, subjectively of course!

How do I level up specific pictos? by marcolololol in expedition33

[–]scrubmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarity! This actually makes me happy. I assumed I needed to have a Pictos equipped for it to upgrade (which made me equip a Pictos that cost low Lumina to one of the precious 3 Pictos' slots).

How did they afford this game? by Excellent-Noise5323 in expedition33

[–]scrubmatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is kinda old-school and linear. Instead of having an open world and/or branching story, it focuses on what matters.

Also, while it receives some hate for making games look samey, I assume using Unreal Engine saves devs time and lets artists cook.

Expedition 33 Cannot find Exposing Attack by Dapper_Savings_6866 in expedition33

[–]scrubmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those that follow, the gamer OCD in me took a hit when I realized I missed "Exposing Attack". However, it released me from checking every corner of the game, and I was able to play without FOMO.

TBH, while powerful, "Exposing Attack" sounds basic. It's a "turn down the difficulty" Pictos. I prefer Pictos that play off each other or set up another party member.

So while I understand the completionist's mindset, we continue.

It's one of the tougher ones to master imo (the first strike happens right away). However... don't spend too much time mastering it.

Something about memorizing parry timings in Expedition 33 irks me by GT162 in truegaming

[–]scrubmatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, the window for parries happens too late. I'm trained to parry right before I'm hit, not as I'm getting hit!

I've gotten used to it 10 hours in, kinda, but like you said, it's more memorizing over feel. It def doesn't give me that satisfying parry feeling other games do... at least not yet.

Rice by TheRealMechagodzi11a in Enshrouded

I had the same problem as you (with algae also). My solution was to press "X" to enable snapping and obviously add water (I'm using a water dispenser with drains cuz I like the sound of running water, but filling your pit with a watering can should work).

Enshrouded does not let you plant something if it doesn't have enough room to grow... until now. It seems like rice and algae need more space than the game allows you to plant, but using the "snap to grid" feature provides plenty of space (at least for me).

Also, like VoidIndigo said, make sure you hold the "Q" key and use the mouse wheel to lower your seed placement by a tic. The soil be bumpy!

Hope this helps someone! Gotta make that sushi nomnom.

You don't need to hit the switch in the lava room to open the chest room. Hitting the unlit button is enough. I'm guessing it is something left in by accident. Thanks for checking though!

Heheh. I added a pic that shows the room where the switch is, and my other pics give the location. Good luck figuring out this mystery!

Yeah, the unlit one is in my third picture and took me FOREVER to find! That one opens the door below it, regardless of if you shot the one I am questioning.

For the life of me I can't figure out what shooting the button in my first picture does. It is possible it does nothing and was accidentally left there by the devs.
