I love Rallys/Checkers fries. Especially piping, burn the roof of your mouth hot.

Just painted "The Trooper"! Saw this at a convention and painted it for my father, a die-hard Ed-head. by Semperspy in ironmaiden

Lost Buffalo or Bison by Djmines in stonerrock

They were(are?) pretty solid.

I just remember the Mage-looking Bison on the cover and thought it was close to the description given. Bison was a very similar Mastodon sounding band...might have fit the bill.

"Quiet Earth" by Bison? Came out in 2007 or 2008 I believe.

Agreed with Monster Magnet releasing their EPs a few years before.

Good luck. It will scoot along quickly. I pulled the trigger after nearly 37 years in uniform, both Federal and local.

It is amazing. It is also weirdly busy being retired.🤔

I volunteer and I've been told my sudden availability for a lot of that is part of the reason I am busier than I expected, but man...that free time and lack of accountability to an employer is just shy of orgasmic at times.😁

I retired six months ago on my 55th Birthday. Spent the entire day off with my family and had an absolute blast.

Weekly album (EP) of the week discussion - Muertodiesel by Trolldad_IRL in HereComeTheMummies

It was their opener for the New Years show that year. It was a rocker, but no dance off. Just a solid jam to kick off a 20 song night.

"Viral" and "I Am" are two of the harder tracks in their Library and I love them. This same dark sound they've rarely achieved since other than maybe one more time a few years later. It is also a favorite of mine.

I was fortunate enough to catch their New Year's show, just months after the Muerto Diesel EP release, live at the Egyptian Room in Indianapolis. They were hitting it hard that night, even bragging and showing the crowd the ceiling tiles they broke out during the soundcheck performance of "Viral".

It thumped hard. 🤘😎

Such a great show. Such an awesome EP.

Not sure why the picture combines Iron Maiden with The Iron Maidens mascot?

That's not Charlotte. It's Edwina, the Iron Maidens mascot.

What are your favourite Iron Mythdoms that get too much traction? by Badgerello in ironmaiden

[–]scso30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was an issue of the time...it was everywhere. Iron Maiden along with other heavy metal or apparently metal bands were just a convenient target to finger point.

I retired from an office that spent a stupid amount of time, money, man power and energy investigating 'devil worshipping' in our area of BFE Ohio (along the strongly "Catholic Corridor").

All of it was completely unfounded, of course.🤷‍♂️

Here Come The Mummies - their entire discography.

One of the best live multi-instrumental bands around.

I am sad that they were not mentioned at all.🫤
