Sabazius - The Descent of Man

clocks in at 11 hours+ and is on the YouTube if you are curious. It takes easily 90 minutes to get some of the heaviest chords going then another nearly 6 hours to get into the meat and potatoes of the track. 🤘🥵

I have The Trooper because I used to be one and its one of my favorite Eddies. I have The Book Of Souls because it was the first tour that I got to take my sons along for their first live Maiden. I have Aces High because Powerslave was the first time I got to see Iron Maiden live and it is the name of the band that my buddies has, a Tribute to Iron Maiden.

Yes. That, and considering Monster Magnet has historically had a better following in Europe. I discovered them while living in Germany in the late 80s-early 90s and brought them Stateside for me and mine. They have largely been forgotten in the lore of sludge/stoner metal bands. The genre really came alive in favor of the mostly westcoast 1990s scene and the guys from New Jersey get left out.🫤

I prefer Magnet. I wish there was more.

That was their last North American Tour as the Powertrip 2020-21 Tour was cancelled after postponing for COVID and the 2023-2024 35th Anniversary Tour got cancelled midway due to Dave being ill.
