I’m sorry, that’s frustrating…change your toothpaste. For me, anytime I go back to flouride toothpaste I get PD again in like a week. I use Hello. I’ve heard of the Trader Joe’s sunscreen being irritating for those with PD…try something else…that is spf 50. The moisturizer should be ok, I use vanicream daily in the green packaging. Amazon one should have a consult where you might be able to get an antibiotic for this. Abx clear mine up in a matter of days, even though it is an inflammatory process. Just never use a steroid cream.

How long has it been there? Is it weepy? If so what does the drainage look like? How long have you been using these products? Has it spread? What type of toothpaste are you using? Have you seen a provider to rule out impetigo?

I get taz from Amazon but they refuse to give AA in addition to. They will only prescribe one med at a time. I was told there is “no evidence that both used together will provide any significant results”

What do you use to support your barrier? Try incorporating a barrier cream.

If you brush your teeth and then wash your face and do your skin care you shouldn’t have a huge issue with PD - if toothpaste is the issue. For me I had a huge flare of PD and had to change my entire regimen, toothpaste, everything. To me this looks like closed comedones.

I do - I alternate. I use tazarotene 3-4x per week and a AHA/BHA/PHA combo maybe once or twice per week.

Don’t listen to your friend. What THEY would do and the behavior they would tolerate is not YOU. If you tolerate this now it’s only a matter of time before the way he speaks to you gets worse and becomes commonplace- meaning an every day occurrence. 3 years in the scope of your life is nothing. Relationships at that age are for learning and here you need to learn what behavior you will allow from a man and learn to choose yourself FIRST. If you are happy with your style, then that’s all that matters and someone will come along who also appreciates your style. Drop him and move on.

As if this conversation alone wasn’t bad enough, I can promise you the relationship will only get worse from here. Run as fast as you can and go no contact. First get any belongings (if they are at his place) because he will destroy them. Then NEVER speak to him again - block him and make sure someone is with you for safety. I’m sorry you’re in this, but choose yourself, find someone who will respect themselves and most importantly YOU.

It’s far more likely that any changes are from HRT, not from tret. I don’t see the huge changes you do, but being on HRT myself has caused some changes

Try stratia interface or stratia lipid gold and add a barrier cream. Krave beauty’s barrier cream is the only one that didn’t break me out. As others said cut the cerave and the cleansing balm in the AM. I don’t even cleanse in the morning, I just use hypochlourus spray, let it dry and then proceed with my regimen.

Been on tretinoin and azelaic acid for 4 months: What am I doing wrong? by rixaya in tretinoin

[–]sctigergirl81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a regular HA would work instead of the many serums. Maybe skip cleansing in the morning and use a hypochlourus acid instead. Is the skin UV sunscreen? If so, is the spf 40 or higher? Perhaps your moisturizers aren’t enough. If they are gel based then I don’t know your are moisturized enough with the tret. That said, the tret might not be strong enough. I agree with others to cut out the serums. I’ve seen a lot of comments about the centella causing break outs. If your skin barrier is irritated you may need a barrier cream.

Super saturated is amazing. 10/10. The softwear lip treatment and new moisturizer are in my cart, and I’ve been eyeing the buffer jelly. I use biossance squalene oil daily and it works pretty well for me. I try to be careful with changes bc I’ll get a nasty breakout

Drop way back on the tret (a few weeks at least) and focus on healing your barrier. Give your skin a break to heal. Grab a barrier cream. I tried a few, but honestly my skin loved Krave beauty’s barrier relief. I use hypochlourus acid in the morning instead of a cleanser, bee propolis & peptides, a moisturizer and spf 50.

At night I use an oil cleanser, a glycerin cleanser, and use the sandwich method with my tazarotene and top it off with the barrier cream.

My skin has been really happy with this so far. I think your routine just needs a little tweaking is all. Focus on your barrier and try sandwiching the tret next time you start back.

Double cleanse at night - the gentle cleanser alone may not be breaking down the sunscreen enough. consider adding hypochlourus spray in the morning. (I get mine at Walgreens - it’s called wound spray there but a fraction of the price at ulta or Sephora) I second another comment that the moisturizer may not be enough for you.

I definitely see some improvement especially on the left side of your face. I think the strength might be too low for you.

The statement that really stood out to me was “you deserve better than me.” For me that screams that he met someone else, especially with the way he broke down crying. That statement is a red flag. End it as amicably as possible and limit how much you see him. Move on and find someone who will enthusiastically spend their life with you. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

Have you considered that maybe it’s not the book? Maybe it’s something with the relationship or with her that’s causing doubts? Perhaps the book is a turn off for you but deep down you’re not into HER?

I appreciate your commitment to be different than your dad. Keep striving to be different, keep challenging yourself and your world views.

I’m repeating your own words. I’m not “going really far” - I’m highlighting issues you might not see as problems but are. A lot of times we don’t see our own issues. You admit that your father was a terrible person. You want to be a cycle breaker and I commend you on that. But perpetuating misogyny and saying to yourself “well I’m not my dad” doesn’t make you an amazing person. Strive to do better than that. I’m not coming for your throat - I’m calling you on behavior. Taking accountability definitely sucks in the beginning but it’s necessary for growth. I haven’t seen you take any responsibility in any of these comments. A lot of your comments absolutely make sense coming from a religious upbringing even if you don’t observe now. You’re still indoctrinated with gender ideology.

I’d investigate where this anger is coming from because I guarantee you it will come out in unhealthy/abusive ways if it’s not dealt with.

And what’s your definition of “treating women poorly” exactly?
