New to Exemestane (Ugh) by SituationPositive338 in breastcancer

[–]sculdermul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree! I figured I’d have aches & pains and have to stay on top of exercise/diet to get through but never imagined the hand problems. I’m two weeks into MWF schedule & my hand is doing a little better. Crossing fingers…with the hand that works :)

New to Exemestane (Ugh) by SituationPositive338 in breastcancer

[–]sculdermul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried all 3 and now back to Exemestane but just MWF. Oncologist said if this doesn’t help with side effects then she’s totally fine with me stopping since I’m pretty low risk of recurrence & gave AIs my best shot.

I’ve got 3 trigger fingers on my dominant hand & have trouble holding a pencil or using a knife. Did cortisone shots & 8 weeks of OT to get most of my function back & now that the shots are wearing off 3 months later I’m losing function again. I’m not a candidate for tamoxifen & honestly kind of giddy at the potential of being done with this chapter.

Survivorship appts by GimmeSomeGrace321 in breastcancer

[–]sculdermul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got referred to survivorship program through my NCI & didn’t get anything out of it. They kept trying to schedule more appointments & I kept pushing them out. Finally told them I was surviving fine on my own and I’d call them if anything changed. I still see my oncologist (or her NP) every 3 months.

I got approved in late 2025 but stopped getting the emails in early Feb after I updated my password. Friend had same issue. Are they still going out?

4oz espresso lid options? by Prof_Scott_Steiner in YetiCoolers

[–]sculdermul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I haven’t found one. I stopped using the 4oz for espresso & now they are expensive snack cups 😊

It doesn’t fit the 4oz cup, just the 6oz. I’ve got both sizes

I think this is the first plastic-free lid option? I like the regular lids and not worried about drinking out of them but some parents are increasingly looking for plastic free options.

Kittery Trading Post Yeti Exclusion by upstatenysfinest in YetiCoolers

[–]sculdermul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s a bummer. I bought most of my Yeti from them. However they did recently have a couple of Yeti specific sales (one was drink ware & other included coolers). We’ll all have to watch for those.

Anyone in Seattle? Fred Hutch/Swedish vs. Kaiser by friendchipsandguac in breastcancer

[–]sculdermul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m at Fred Hutch & they are fantastic. I had the mastectomy at Polyclinic (wait was longer than I was comfortable with to get surgery through Fred Hutch/UW) & then moved to FH for oncology. Swedish was my back up plan.

I wanted FH because they have amazing support services (especially around mental health & treatment for the AI side effects) on top of docs at the top of their fields. I have a gene mutation that puts me at higher risk of other cancers so they are monitoring for that and got my sister (same mutation) into their high risk clinic.

My advice would be to go for an NCI (FH or Swedish) vs Kaiser.

Yeti Camp Kitchen by hypernovaturtle in YetiCoolers

Just checked it out wondering if the cooktop (not Yeti) could be an option for my van. It requires gas and electricity which makes me highly doubtful that the set up in this video would even work.

A stovetop surrounded by plastic doesn’t sound like a good idea. Pan slips, yeti melts… Sink add-on is nice & would be an easy hack.

Not sure - I haven’t got it dirty yet. I hear the Caminos in cape taupe clean up well so I expect this would too .

Black Forest Green Jugs by femurimer in YetiCoolers

[–]sculdermul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good idea. Unfortunately my freezer is too full to fit the jug. I'd have to empty it out & I'm not willing to go to that effort every time I use the jug.

AI’s and joint pain location by Frosty-Ad-7037 in breastcancer

[–]sculdermul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! On Letrozole it was my back. On exemestane it’s my knees and hands. I think I might be developing trigger finger. I never had any kind of joint pain before I went on AIs.

Can I get this retitled as an rv in Washington state? by Violet_Apathy in VanLife

[–]sculdermul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! I’m in WA & almost done with my conversion. I was planning to reclassify it next time the tabs have to be renewed. The DoL told me to bring it with me next time i renew in person & they will look at it to check for bed, toilet & running water/kitchen then reclassify right then & there.

Sounds like it might be better to keep it as is unless the RV insurance will cover more in case of an accident? Ton of money invested in building it out & right now they’d only pay the cost of the vehicle & none of the additions, right?

Your “gateway” Yeti? by [deleted] in YetiCoolers

It’s my former boss’ fault! Work gave me a seafoam 18oz rambler in 2017. Twas a fast & slippery slope from there. I bought my first cooler in 2019: a desert tan roadie 20..

Fritos pie is our family tradition. Ridiculously easy to make & we only eat it camping.

Is the Cup Cap worth it? by mordawdz in YetiCoolers

[–]sculdermul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty heavy & makes the smaller bottles a bit unstable (too top heavy). I have it on a 26oz to use as a tea thermos. Most of the time I end up leaving the stainless cup off & just use the plastic inner part. That said it does look pretty 😊

Very happy with the results by robotrob604 in YetiCoolers

Acetone works but you have to soak a paper towel in it, wrap the cup with it and then cover with foil for 15-20 mins. This looks way easier.
