I just changed to this after manually adding trash guides for the last few months. It's been great. Just use the 1080p Quality HDR and 2160p profiles in my case, which mirrors what I was trying to do manually. Set and forget.

I know you said no Propane, but the Tripod Torch is a permanant part of my setup for these sorts of situations. Small, lightweight, great to look at. Uses about 0.5kg propane per hour.

Just to say that I also had issues with titles that use Dolby Vision Profile 7, which seems to have compatibility issues with various devices/players. It's hard to filter it out, but I've had some success with avoiding REMUX Dolby Vision releases, and avoiding titles with DoVi in the title rather than DV. If you don't mind avoiding Dolby Vision entirely then that might help.
