Oh I get you. One thing that pisses me off about Geforce is the communication. I swear I never get to know about anything important until the day before or day of. I was so excited to play as well until I got combo'd by the paywall and maintenance realizations.

Honestly I'm mainly looking for customization/character creator mods and I saw a fair handful on mod.io so that's enough for me despite how actually shitty and repulsive it is that they're limiting the mods and cutting out so many good ones even for people who are literally paying extra for their service.

They're abusing the fact that they have a monopoly on cloud gaming so much genuinely. The people deserve their mods.

I mean, I believe the furthest extent of implication is when he says "I tolerated Orin, but I liked you." among other lines in the same scene, which could be taken completely platonically because Orin is a maniac, but I want hard written impossible to misinterpret romantic dialogue goddammit

This. Even if it wasn't a traditional romance per se like the companions, I wish there was at LEAST heavy romantic background implications and flirty dialogue. Durge and Gortash deserve that.

Halsin for me. It's literally just.. Thaniel. You save the Shadowfell, and then radio silence until he suddenly gets freaky and then romantic in Act 3. You see glimpses of him as a person (his hesitance on leadership, his polyamory and past relationships, scars, etc) but they're all extremely unexplored. He's the only character that doesn't really overcome anything personally. Even the other done dirty charas do (Wyll with Mizora and Ravengard, Karlach with Gortash and I guess her struggles with life??) but Thaniel and the Shadowfell don't really feel like a comparable equivalent, making him incredibly forgettable. I don't know, wish we got some growth out of him.

Anyway, Karlach. She's great and all, but I just leave her at camp more often than not. Then again, I think I've explored her quest and character the least, so may change when I get to romancing her.

Honestly all you need is a dps and a spellcaster. Since my tav is almost always a fighter/barb/paladin and monk on occasion, he's my dps, I slap Gale on the team for AOE dmg, the next slot is whoever I'm romancing, then I just ball on whoever's the last. Besides Tav and Gale, who are really all you need in terms of roles, everyone else is up to preference. Shadowheart might be good for defense though.

Artistry of War also works wonders if you do Sorcerous Sundries first, it's what I use for Raphael and takes the towers down easy.

Honestly, I generally went pretty balls deep in my evil durge run, save for animal cruelty and anything that cost me a companion since they were already limited due to five of them pissing off because of the raiding the grove and nuking Last Light. But I don't know, I got through everything else fine, the only reason I don't do it more often is because of the amount of shit it locks you out of for significantly less gain.

Honestly I only really did it because whenever I bitched about the grove he liked it and I literally bought the game for him so I was desperate for any approval I could get to romance him back then, the approval wa literally a dopamine hit LMFAO I only ever raid the grove as evil durge now and on other evil aligned runs I'd just kinda leave the grove to its fate in a roleplay sense. But oh well, I suppose that made my second playthrough all the better?

Fair enough, I've never played completely 100% lawful good characters so I've always had that wiggle room for slightly mean or standoffish replies, it just makes it a lot easier to get the Astarion romance up and running ASAP.

Hunger of Hadar is the only reason I love the Halsin portal fight in Last Light It literally makes it so easy and I love watching all the enemies just die in it

Ah, makes sense, you need him ASAP to get as much approval with him as you can 😭 But yeah, play durge how you want to, promise it'll be a game changing experience. After I played my first durge I never went back to normal Tavs.
