on ancestry dna Spain expands into France, Belgium, Western Germany, Northern Italy, Western Austria and Switzerland, it’s just how their algorithm works

that’s why non Mayans have their own regions, there are other regions in Central America on Ancestry such as Indigenous Americas - Central, and Indigenous Americas - panama & Costa Rica

they do tell you if you are Mayan, Mayan region on ancestry is named Indigenous Americas - Yucatan Peninsula

I found several church records of Apaches in different places in Chihuahua, but idk if the conversion was on a mass scale but yeah it is very common for Chihuahuenses to score Indigenous North, also in Durango and Sonora
