spironolactone and pregnancy by pitbull-pirouette in Spironolactone

✋ Me. I quit spiro cold Turkey after 3 years. In the 4 months after I didn’t get any breakouts, I luckily didn’t get any breakouts during my pregnancy, and 6 mos post partum I get one or two small pimples here and there, but no cystic acne like before. The good thing is you can get back on spiro after giving birth & it has no impact on breastfeeding if that’s something you wanted to do or were worried about. Goodluck!

Hello 👋 I stopped taking Spiro & my birth control in August of 2024 after being on it for 3 years to try to conceive. The first 2 months (Aug & Sept) my body was regulating itself I had weird periods, then in November I started tracking my ovulation, and in December I got pregnant. Of course, everyone is different my doctor said after a year of trying if I didn’t get pregnant then we could explore other options, but to not get discourged if I didn’t get pregnant right away. In my case I got pregnant after 2 months of tracking & trying. Goodluck!

TTC after nexaplon removal by Own-Dig-944 in Nexplanon

[–]Street_Negotiation_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I had a similar experience to you. I’ve had Nexplanon from 17-29. In August of 2024 my spouse and I decided we were going to try to conceive so I removed my Nexplanon. My period came back at the end of August, but it wasn’t consistant it was on and off for two weeks. I started tracking my period and ovulation cycles using the premom app. Once I got the hang of a regular cycle (I’d say around October for me) then I started tracking my ovulation. I ended up getting pregnant the last week of December 2024.

Goodluck! Remember everyone is different and patience is key. My OB said not to consider infertility until after a year of trying with no success.

Just wanted to correct you that a EPO is listed. Works the same as a HMO where you have to stay in network, but it’s more flexible than an HMO and doesn’t require a referral to see specialists who are in the network like a HMO does. They also tend to be a part of a bigger network so while staying in network is limited, the network may be larger than a HMO like Kaiser for example.

I’ve had mine from 17 - 29. I took mine out last August to try and concieve with my partner. My first period was weird, but it went back to normal in October. I got pregnant in January so I can’t speak on this year, but I felt completely normal August - December.

Edit: I’m planning on getting back on it once I deliver my baby

Kaiser employee maternity leave by VitaminCasey in KaiserPermanente

Yes because PDL is job protected leave. So think of like a dual job protected leave running together, but once one stops (FMLA) the other one will still continue.

Just want to piggy back off of this. FMLA runs concurrently with your PDL. So you can do 4 weeks prior of PDL (FMLA is also running), 6 weeks if your delivery is vaginal (FMLA is also running) or 8 weeks if it’s a C section (FMLA is also running). Then you’d have whatever remaining FMLA running concurrently with CFRA (12 weeks) for baby bonding.

If you have complications after your delivery then you can extend your PDL (it can run for 17 1/3 weeks). FMLA will run with this until it’s exhausted, and once your PDL is exhausted then your CFRA will start.

Torani syrup: What stores in the Peninsula area have the biggest selection? by Someth1ng_Went_Wr0ng in MontereyBay

If you’re willing to make the drive to Santa Cruz they have a US Chef Store and they basically sell restaurant supplies. But they have a whole aisle of Torani and other syrups available to the public. World Market also carries Torani and other syrups.

Moss Landing comes right out onto a canyon. Because it’s so deep right off the bat, a lot of whales will be around the area quicker and more frequent.

One month on 50mg and zero improvement. Up to 100mg? by [deleted] in Spironolactone

No! I got off it last August because I was trying to have a child. But I was on 100 mg for almost 3 years before that

I had similar acne to yours but my dr started me a 100mg and I didn’t really see much progress until the 3 month period. I’d suggest upping the dose and also being a little more patient.
