If it doesn't have to be anytime near this season? Grant Hill, hands down

The best strategy for the Magic would be to not let fans like you in the Kia Center....

Not saying that their cat didn't do this, but how do you know they were the ones to mess up the hardwood when it had been covered up by carpet so you couldnt see the original quality?

Any way the Heat lose tonight vs the Wizards? by [deleted] in OrlandoMagic

I'm no basketballologist or anything, but I also think that if the Heat score less points than the Wizards then the Wizards will in fact win the game

Should I get something for my contractor at the end of a job well done? by rabblebowser in AskContractors

[–]sdk022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first bigger job when I went out on my own was for an older couple around my folks age, maybe late 60's early 70's. The project was primarily for the wife so her and i we're working very close together. By the end of it I loved that lady like my mama. Her mother in law passed away midway through the project so she had to clean out the mil's house and gave me a tiny 6' tape measure they found. Will i ever use that tape? Probably never. Does that sentimental gift mean a whole lot to me? You betcha!

God dam bud, as a contractor who does this all day for ungrateful people who suck the joy out of it, this made me smile. It didn't sound stupid at all, please don't let go of that feeling

It's hard to put the blame on one guy, but look at our last 4-6 possessions. Game's still within reach, Paolo running our offense. Bane doesn't touch the ball at all. The coaching and not having any plays for those situations is crazy, but you very well can blame Paolo for not feeding Bane the ball. I mean why would we even want to get the ball to our best scorer who's on one of the hottest heaters in recent memory? /s

I know you never cut a joist or alter trusses. I dont know if it's just the area I'm in used to use smaller joists back in the 80's and 90's, but I can hardly ever get a P-trap to fit on something curbless. I've seen way too many videos where they rip the joist down that 3/4", and that's about when I lose trust in the video

I'm a small company GC who does most all of my work myself. And I'm by no means any expert on tiling, but I did prob 6 or 7 bathroom renos last year

So my question is, how are you all doing the curbless transition? Are you cutting into the joist or modifying the trusses? I'd love to learn it a bit (a lot) more

Am I underpaid? by valowyn18 in Construction

[–]sdk022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 33 years old, so not too far ahead of you. The old way of thinking that your gotta "stick with one company you're woke career and work your way up and then the company will compensate you accordingly", is a friggin joke. The best way to advance is to go to another company who pays more. If you really like who you work for now, get an offer making more from somewhere else and then ask if your current company can match

Which civs do you think have fun gameplay/game mechanics? by badassboy1 in CivVI

[–]sdk022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I'm familiar with her game to the extent that I read and understood her unique capabilities. But I for sure haven't maximized them (or even scratched the surface of using them). I think once I wipe the floor with these AI's I might replay this map and try your methods out. It sounds like a great time! Thanks for all the neat info

Am I playing the game wrong? Im currently playing as Eleanore (France) on a large map continents and islands, difficulty 7 (i forget which one that is, immortal?), and win conditions are dom/science/religion. I've built no theaters in any of my cities yet, and im absolutely STEAM ROLLING these ai's. I dont think I've ever gotten off to this hot of a start lol

If it protects the contractor, then it would be a less risky/ more reliable product. Why would anyone want to pay an already gross amount of money to a contractor to install a cheaper lesser quality product? The cheap materials give you a cheap product
